Good drill. I like how it reinforces defensive responsibility while working the jab.

I love the jab. honestly i think it’s probably my favorite punch. And while i’m FAR from a pro i practice the hell out of the jab. i just love how it sounds and feels on the heavy bag. to get that hard whipping snapping action going lol. 💯

@@CoachAnthonyBoxing Off & on for 3-4 years but tbh i never really stuck with it. But for the last 6 months or so i’ve been pretty dedicated to training. I’ve always loved you guy’s channel though. You explain stuff in a way where it’s super easy to pick up on. It’s especially fun when you and Fast Eddie do the demo.

Jab is definitely my favorite punch. What i noticed is that my jab got so consistent that my partners started getting used to it so i had to change some element to my jabbing approach to get em Foot feints, feints, changing the angles, changing head slots before the jab, changing from parrying to slipping their jab at the same time, upjab, sometimes even changing angles + tripling up the jab + changing tempo of my jabs Then all of a sudden, my jab lands again to the point I can go back to the simple stepping jab again cuz they dont know what's gonna happen first As i trained longer and sparred more, i realized that boxing is like an onion that keeps getting thicker. You just layer things on top and you've given your opponent more garbage to deal with, resulting in being able to fight your fight

Thank you coach anthony! Awesome video i trully appreciate this drill/knowledge you pass on to us, and i especially like the fact you gave me something me and my partner can work on when we are not at the gym. Im always looking for drills and such to work on outside of the gym to keep a well rounded routine as i drill and perfect new skill to my boxing. A big thank you coach anthony! And God bless you and yours
