I just bought mine and on all 0000 it will not open or and little key will not turn .....any suggestions?

This regards my 175 lock. With the lock open I took a master key we saved (not sure if it is the actual one that came with the lock but it looks identical to the one in the video) I inserted it and tried pushing the pin inside the lock. It won't push in, so it can't be turned 90 degrees. The lock has no rust and looks in immaculate condition. I even used some dry lube but it does not work. Were there different keys made?

The padlock must be first dialed to the current combination. The key should push and turn then. Master only made one key/tool for combination changes. If yours looks like mine in the video, it should work.

Right after I posted my comment I discovered what you said in your reply. The combination was lost but the lock was open, so I took an educated guess and then the key worked. Thank you.

Could i brute force the lock open then change the combo? I found an old 175 in my junk drawer and dont know the combo

Brute forcing it open does you no good. It has to be dialed to the proper combination to enter the change process, and forcing it open you now have a broken padlock with no combination still.

You don't even need that tiny key to change the combo. Just continuesly press the internal pin while turning the combo wheel..

Omg this saved me, mine came without the key and no hole but by holding down the internal pin (lock itself) and turning the dials as she directed you can change the code✅🙏🏽

If you have the existing combination, yes. You must open it with the combination first to expose the change key hole.

All the key does is hold the spring pressed. You can also use a paper clip and keep press while you change the combination. YW
