I just did this by using an old hacksaw blade and grinding it down. the thin metal you use has to be very thin but strong like an old clock spring. or obviously like I used an old hacksaw blade ground down. it works a treat. thanks for the video mate
@joshhayl74596 жыл бұрын
To: dave Scopes, You must have a really cheap lock for something the thickness of a hacksaw blade to get into, also, hacksaw blades deform and hold their Bend unlike these tools which are made out of steel with a higher temper so it flexes back rather than holding the bend on minor curves.

I bought a brand new 175 lock a month ago. Since all these videos (yours and many others) have been posted MasterLock must have read them and redesigned these locks. They seem to have tightened up the tolerances plus addes some kind of internal block to prevent even thin shims from being slid in. Even using a piece of a coke can I can't get it past much of anything. Also tried decoding the wheels with a thin shim looking for the one where the shim goes deeper but they all seem to be the same depth.

regardless of the combination ,if you hold the lock so the numbers are right side up with the code set to four zeros , pinch the shackle in then boot heal or a large stick hit the lock hard on the side which should be facing up and knock it out of your hand . if you do this correctly it will open every time without breaking the lock , and it will relock . do not use metal to hit the lock, a stick about the size of a hammer handle is perfect . works on most locks this style...

I thought you was a great video and explained excellently.
@j.morrison734 жыл бұрын
It will be a lot faster and easier just to cut the lock with bolt cutter, assuming you have to search/send away and pay for this special 'tool'. Using this doesn't save the lock because you still don't have the combination. And you can't reset the combo, even if it's open, unless it's on the comb to begin with. With that said, those that made comments about the video being too long, or fidgeting, think back to grammar school doing math work. teacher wasn't satisfied with the answer, they wanted to see how you got to it. Ending, I think it would be just as and more important to us is if you gave the dimensions and thickness of the tool. It would eliminate a week or so sending away for one.
