Do you have a keen interest in the farming of aquatic organisms, including fish, crustaceans, molluscs and algae? Do you aspire to become an expert in aquaculture? The Master in Aquaculture is a two-year programme (120 ECTS) that allows students to become highly trained and skilled experts who can exploit existing aquaculture potentials in a profitable and sustainable way and draw and implement strategies for future development in the aquaculture industry.
The programme, designed along a gradient of increasingly specialised and research-driven courses, is organised by the Laboratory for Aquaculture & Artemia Reference Centre of Ghent University, a research group that has gained worldwide recognition for its groundbreaking research on live food applications and novel microbial management tools. Intensive collaboration also takes place with leading universities and research centres in Europe and beyond (e.g. Stellenbosch, South Africa and Can Tho University, Vietnam).
