I never really noticed it but the animation in seasons 8-10 (even from all the way back in season 4) shows how good the old animation was, the new one gives us cool fights but what they did in both sons of garmadon and hunted is awesome.

@@Shiranui_Main2, yes, it was really annoying and incoherent when he dissapeared in part 2 where they could've done some gag with him, like Dareth wearing the Stone army helmet from S2 thinking that it could protect him or maybe do the speach that Jay did at episode 28 that started the battle. But he was just gone for most of the season and came out of nowhere in the finake without any previous setup.

I know Dareth was commonly kind of a butt of many jokes, all the while miraculously never losing his confidence. He gets cowardly, but he's still willing to get back into the action, and help in every way he can. I particularly like his role in Hunted, with him genuinely doing his best, and clearly having some sort of luck on his side, that not only keeps him alive, but helps him kick ass, even if unintentionally. And, I can't help but notice his absolute POWER MOVE at the end of Seabound. He did everything to save a full bus of people, and generally helped the ninja, even without super-strength, extra-high intelligence, or great battle prowess. I wasn't his biggest fan, but damn, the Brown Ninja really kicks ass. :-)

Same here. When Dareth was first introduced I thought he was just gonna be the whole "cocky fraud who runs when things get tough" archetype but I was pleasantly surprised. Even if he's a bit of comic relief, he genuinely cares for the ninja and I think it's commendable that despite his lack of powers or formal training, he gives his all to protect others.

To be fair, Dareth has always been a positive character, and moreover, he has participated and tried to help in almost all key Ninjago events. Ninjaball Run, The Final Battle (where he played a key role in controlling the stone army), Battle in Corridor of Elders, Operation Land Ho, and participation in The Resistance. I don't understand why so many people underestimate him as a character.
