If you make a basic unit undead, for example barbarian swordsmen, they cost no food, no mana in upkeep. I have been testing builds and undead is still very powerful. It seems others have been countered somewhat. Putting 11 books into life for invulnerability seems nerfed because the AI was countering it better.

conjurer and chaneller stack for a total of 75% upkeep reduction and you dont get a penalty for casting spells far away from your city. edit: shadow demons can kill anything (even better with buffa) and it doesn't matter ho many die as long as the stack wins.
