😂 your my hero dude. From the Bravo bust to the squawk 7600 when you don't want to talk anymore and when the tower hits you with the light gun say you suddenly went color blind then when they wanted to defer your medical say your sight returned and finally when you say "I have ATIS information Yankee (or whatever) I have the weather" understand no one has the weather. Someone once told me if the radio is a big problem for you you're doing something right because it's "aviate navigate communicate" so you obviously understand your aircraft very well if the radio suddenly is the most confusing thing instead of the least confusing thing. But this video just perfectly defines what I believe any realistic practical person actually believes about spamming too much information on the radio and needing too much of a call back where you need to write a book just to read back the last radio phrase. 😂 this is just classic. Why keep it simple when you have all these tips and tricks? 😂

Squawk codes can be really useful. You can also squawk 7500 to see fighter jets up close and if you squawk 7700, you can land pretty much anywhere.

using 7500 while in DC you get to practice your formation flying skills and you get a curtesy car at the airport

Hey Bryan, one more thing to add, you forgot to cover how hard it is the learn the phonetic alphabet. I say instead of spending all that study time, just make up you own. Like, Apples, Bananas, Cats, Dogs, Etcetera. 😂😂. I actually heard a pilot on the radio say he had information bananas. 😮😂

Your "Cancel IFR" one I've actually used before. Back in the dark ages when I was flying the 310 on dog flights and had someone along for time building, we were taking off out of the Boston area and got some long ridiculous clearance with airways the whole way to Ohio. He was completely flustered and couldn't keep up writing it down, and I just waved at him like "Don't worry, I got this" not writing anything. When the clearance was done I responded "Eight Sugar Pop, we'll just go VFR." The time builder just started laughing and said "I thought you actually were remembering all of that and couldn't figure out how you could catch that clearance."
@Beelzerat2 жыл бұрын
Hey! That's my dad. He used to pull that crap all the time, then when I had the radio, they would take it out on me. He also ran out of fuel, which I warned him about, and we had to land on Rt. 40. Goddamn Santini he was. Embarrassing as Hell. I am going to watch the rest of your videos. Thanks.
