Honestly, I never really considered Master Porky's Theme to be a "Halloween" tune. I suppose there are some spooky parts within the theme, and Porky's got a pale, ghostly look to him at the end of MOTHER 3... But that doesn't really matter, since it's been forever since a GaMetal EarthBound/MOTHER cover, and Master Porky's Theme is one of my favorites! This cover gives me goosebumps just like the original did, excellent work Sans! ;)

The intense, militaristic March of the first half of this song combined with the melancholic second half make this theme really fit Porky’s character. This is one of my favorite final boss themes (Well, technically penultimate boss, but the Masked Man fight is more of a playable cutscene than a boss.) of all time. Shogo Sakai did a masterful job with Mother 3’s soundtrack and it’s a shame that the west never got to hear most of it officially.

I've always really liked how this song starts out as this super rousing and epic piece about the big confrontation, with the Pig Mask motif in there, that powerful percussion and everything, and then after that's done, it just kind of... transitions into something far more uneasy and bleak, with a creepy high pitched suspended synth note just lingering throughout. As if by that point, with all his coughing and inane rambling, it had truly sunken in to everyone involved how far gone Porky truly was.
