Let me break it down for the application points if you are searching for that in the comments. Unlike our guest explained in the video, GMAT points are controversial and depend upon your overall GPA or Percentage as they are not considered for the Stage 2 application round. 1. A bachelors in engineering or natural sciences = 50 points a rejection: if the application only reaches 49 or less 2. CGPA > 9.5 or a Rank within the top 20% of students = 12-15 points a direct admission as the application reaches 62 points or more 3. CGPA between 9.5 > 7.67 or a Rank within the top 50% of students = 2-11 points a GMAT score > 600 would add extra 10 points and allow a direct admission If you have a CGPA < 7.67, having a GMAT won't help with Stage 1 application in any way. Your application is forwarded to Stage 2 in which only your CGPA (max. 15 points) and essay (max. 40 points) are analyzed. Assuming you already possess a non-management degree, if you score 29 or more points in CGPA+Essay, you'd be admitted in Stage 2. As for the essay points breakdown: Ability of scientific-logical reasoning (max. 20 points) Classification of economic-technical facts (max. 10 points) English-language expressiveness (max. 10 points)
