No Pyramids are stone
@stevenlewis92343 ай бұрын
The idea that the stones used to build the pyramids were poured into molds, rather than quarried and transported, is part of a hypothesis known as the *Geopolymer Hypothesis*. This theory suggests that the blocks were not cut from natural stone but rather were cast in place using a type of limestone concrete or artificial stone. French chemist Joseph Davidovits proposed this idea in the 1980s. He argued that the ancient Egyptians might have used a mixture of natural materials like limestone, kaolinite clay, lime, and water to create a geopolymer cement, which would then be poured into molds and harden into stone-like blocks. While this theory is intriguing, it is not widely accepted by most Egyptologists and archaeologists. The prevailing view is that the stones were indeed quarried and transported, with substantial evidence showing the presence of quarries, transportation techniques (like sleds and ramps), and tool marks consistent with traditional stone-cutting methods. Additionally, studies of the pyramids' stone have shown that most blocks consist of natural limestone. Though the geopolymer hypothesis has not been definitively proven, it remains a topic of debate and further research.
@LightGesture2 ай бұрын
Just chiming in, i think there were mauve lengths of "ways" for our ancestors to transport blocks by rolling them, using their weights like a rotary engine, but a square, sure. Whatever shape, i believe. Ancients were extremely intelligent. That much closer to the original Man. Not copies or loss of information in the generic code. The evidence is also insurmountable that "there were giants in those days" and that's not just outside of the narrative characters. Humans used to be huge. Everything used to be huge. Likely 10-20' average height of humans, everything else to scale, but we suppose it would vary to what species take more or less to the perfect earth in the beginning. 🌎 🌐 It's beautiful to love the study. Cheers

Hi. How do you stop the quoins from cracking when curing/drying out. Such a heavy thick coat is surely going to crack.
@gingerseamus2 жыл бұрын
Hi 👋 So yes there is a bit to it. Thickness does have its limitations, and I probably got it to the max here, thickness is 23mm. The mortar needs to be mixed to a certain consistency, the wall needs to be dampened appropriate to the conditions, weather ect before applying. Also screeded and floated at the right time, so far no cracks. But if one of the processes I mentioned isn’t right you may get a problem. Hope that answer’s your question 👍
@solwayscot90302 жыл бұрын
@@gingerseamus Very good. I read here your mix is strong. 3.5 sand to 1 cement with how much lime and waterproofer/plasticiser. I usually mix finish at 5.1.1/2 and 250ml evoplast waterproofer/plasticiser to every 10 litre bucket of water. Leave it mix for a good 10 minutes until creamy. Most of the time it serves me well but on occasion I get mapping/crazing. The cement I use is Irish cement 32.5N What's your exact process to mix for a gable end wall. I'm not being critical of your mix for the quoins at all. I just like to hear different people's method's and compare to mine

Nice vid. I would love to see this slowed down. Then I could really check out the hawk & trowel technique. I didn't see a level to check for plumb. Did you check measurement on one side only or did I miss it? Came out looking sharp
@gingerseamus2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes the vertical lats were plumbed and marked first, I mark all the spacing first, and where I nail I make sure its in a mark so it doesn’t clash with the quoin cutter. When I set the corner timber, i measure from the plumbed lat evenly both sides, top and bottom, so corner will be plumb also. 👍

Hello bro. What kind of tool do you use when you cut the wall? It looks like black pallet. and where can i buy it? Bunnings?
@gingerseamus3 жыл бұрын
Hi, so in Ireland we have facia and soffit made from pvc, this tool is made from 2 pieces of soffit, screwed together with 2x1’s, you just need to square it and screw it off so it holds position. Instead to pvc soffit you can use 2 pieces of 4x1 and cut out 45 degree angles on both so your angle tool fits in the groove, if that makes sense. 👍

Cool ...although from a more "structural" holding per say, I will prefer to specified horizontal stucco reglets. I believe they protect the edges through time. But I understand that to create that tapered angles it will be a challenge. Great work.
@fepeerreview31502 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I've seen a lot of galvanized sheet metal reglets get damaged in installation, resulting in rust, which spalls the stucco. It's a tough thing to get right.
