Sometimes learning Spanish from a English Speaker can be a benefit... the Nice thing about Mexicans is they are grateful for anyone who TRYS the language!

How can she teach Spanish with that strong English accent? Strange.

Actually it is an advantage. She speaks very clearly and it is easier to hear each syllable. The students will sound as clear on each syllable as she is. The goal is to feel in a safe zone learning. In just Mexico, there are 7 accents of Spanish. Accents to not negate that a person speaks a language and has great proper grammar. Sometimes I let my Texan twang out in public and sometimes I hide it. Both are 100 % English.

What difference does it make? The objective is to be able to be understood and to speak well enough to communicate. Doesn’t matter what her Canadian accent is
