I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the difference between support and resistance vs. supply and demand. Traded a lazy 3% doing this on the Nikei a little ways back. Price went to 5× , hit a level then locked that in trailing the stop. Price traded to 10× overnight and hit the TP at another zone/level zone. 30 % in one trade. I will never underestimate this approach ever again. Another Great video. Thankyou.

So basically ur saying supply and demand are more speculation than support n resistance even tho they r usually in the same spot. You can only see support n resistance after supply n demand is already confirmed. Soooo that means to profit off of supply n demand you need to be good at finding them. Thought this was great but still some questions unanswered - what timeframe should you draw supply and demand zones, especially for scalping? Sometimes price will react with a 5 min zone or a 1min zone inside a 15min zone. Also, how to tell the move is actually happening. Often times price comes down to a zone (demand) bounces, then retraces further into the zone, and then will move upward. Usually the confirmation is a “ChoCh” or a change of character but even that doesn’t always work. Also, how to find the zones that are strong? I believe it’s those that break multiple structures. Please try to address the difference timeframes if you can, especially for us scalpers. Thanks!

Banks don't wait for months for price to come back to order block but if we are looking 4H chart then it takes weeks for price to come back to that zone ... If a bank gets an order to buy a stock from a pension fund etc., do they want to tell them at the end of the day "Oh, we only filled a bit of your order, we will try again in a couple weeks"? I use S/D on an intraday basis only.

According to my humble experience, there is no difference between Support/Resistance and Demand/Supply . Previously, we used support/resistance and with SMC we started using the term demand/ supply. If we turn the chart back we will see that the demand or supply area was itself resistance or support, So they are the same thing. The difference that I see fit is that the demand area is formed first when the price reverses from it, and if it reverses from it a secondary time we call it support, the same with regard to supply and resistance. But I do not know whether I am right or wrong, because there are those who see that they are different.

I think you’re right and this is an unnecessary distinction. “Overhead supply” = resistance because there are sellers aka supply of the instrument at that price. demand is support because there are orders at that price point. Broken support/demand becomes overhead resistance because people want to get out at a break-even. Overhead supply becomes support because people want to get in for their original entry. Respectfully, this video Seems to be talking about a distinction without a difference. Okay so supply is just young resistance? Well then it’s just a question of time frame. On the 1D that supply might look fresh but may have been shown multiple times on lower time frames. Anyway, I’m with you on this one. I think calling resistance and support supply and demand keep things from being so abstract and keep you remembering you’re trading something not just arbitrary numbers.

He is missing a key point here when it comes to old supply and demand zones. He's focusing too much on the logic that: "why would banks wait months or years to finish their orders at the old supply/demand zones?". But it's not just about banks, you are forgetting about retail and traders of all kinds. From beginners to professionals. And the psychology from these traders and their trading which is based a lot on technical analysis. A big part of these traders could see old supply/demand zones as key reversal points (support / resistance levels). So it's not just banks that dictate how price moves, and if price will come back to old supply/demand zones or not.
