Hey Ross what’s your thoughts on flash dips. Stock is clearly trending up makes new high but then dips like 25 cents to almost the low of the last candle.. I get stopped out a ton on these for them to bounce back within the minute

Just in time! , today I had a big red day down -$293 , because of emotional high jack and trading too many patterns such as : Dips of ascending support, dips of 1/2 whole dollars , micro pull backs , breakouts etc basically everything. Did my self a trader rehab today , and like you said in the video “beginner traders like to try and be good at everything focus on 1 pattern and master it.” I had to hear it. thanks Ross! Ross, dont know whats gotten into ya. Your videos are absolutely EPIC over the last week! ALL INFO, NO WANDERING! THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was having my first ever big red day. I decided to take advice that you shared YESTERDAY. I was down 500 dollars on LGVN. I learned a lesson by buying 20 minutes after the big move. Dumb!!! Bought about 100 shares. I was down mid day, letting it ride. I let it ride because it checked off all the volume, price, news, categories. Once it creeped back up to my price, it just DUMPED. So instead of freaking out. I bougght $2,200 more. Doubling down. Didnt realize that lowers my break even, but anyway 1 minute before market close I took a 100 dollar loss, but my other stocks won. So i am still 87 green for the day. I'm smiling. The stress was free ;)

Isn't that always how it works. You get used to a certain thing, and end up selling too early, and then you pick the one stock on the one day where the trend dies. It could be worse you could buy into a stock that's on the up and up, and then the big trader controlling it, keeps putting asks below the bid... that one still makes no sense to me. But i've gotten caught in it twice. I got to the point where $20, $30, $50 were normal. Now i don't know what's going on, and I consider $3 to be a successful trade right now.

On the bull flag entry point, when you say the entry is where the price exceeds the red candle on the pullback, do you mean it exceeds the body or the body and any upper wick? 50:59 You mentioned putting profit targets out with a hotkey - is that a predefined amount you’ve assigned to the hotkey? Does it calculate using average price of current total position? Also it’s hard to gauge exactly what you are doing on the keyboard - it would be valuable to somehow see what’s happening on the keyboard as you’re trading to get a better sense of the muscle memory required. And perhaps a breakdown of the most common hotkeys you use. Great content btw, thanks 👍🏼

Question - At 20:00 you discuss buying the stock at $3.00; however, I'm having a hard time getting my "buy" price as I am - "Buying the Ask". When I buy the ask, it's usually filled at $0.10 or more higher than what i want to pay, so I need to come from behind every time! I.e., it's not in the middle of the green candle as you are showing on your whiteboard. I am using Schwab/TOS. How can I get a better price; even if my entry is good it's hard to be profitable. Are you using limit orders or market orders

It depends on some other factors. The price you see isn't the actual price. The actual price is the lowest Ask. In order for you to buy, there needs to be a seller. If you use a market order it will fill at the lowest asks. If you use a limit order it will fill when the ask lowers to your bid. When you use a market order you are saying i want to buy right now, so you buy at the lowest ask. When you use a limit order what you bid is what you pay, unless you have it set for some +/-. Depending on the situation 99% of the time you want to use a limit order. If it's just going up and up, you might just want to jump in. Depends on the situation.
