Interesting. I just watched your color mixing video, and I see a metaphor there. If you think about the "primary" characteristics we have of fear, joy, love, and sorrow, as artists we have to explore what each of those "hues" are. We are constantly finding and experimenting with how to de-saturate those emotions by suppressing them or how to use complementary emotions to mix new and evolved states we are in. AND, when we mix those states, just like mixing color, there is no "right" color - it just is. We as artists need to allow what happens on a canvas is our current state being expressed in a visual format. oof... Great insight!! Thank you for sharing.

The biggest road block is wasting materials. If you could spend less money on the materials, you would be far more free to fail. Success is the focus and not wasting the expensive material.

A monkeys feelings don’t get hurt when they get a bad critique, I do and it’s hard to not let that get to you. I love what I do so I get over it, it takes time but I move forward and keep in mind that no one can do art like me, bad or good it’s me.

I used to work at an exotic animal santuary, and I can tell you, monkeys 🐒 absolutely get their feelings hurt when they get a bad critique. 😉
