Ran GT4 in LMP3/GT4 last season, switched to LMP3 this season. It is extremely rewarding once you get the hang of it. Had several P2s at Daytona a few weeks ago and a P2 at Sandown over the weekend. Great video! Liked and subscribed

I worked with iRacing when this car came out as I have real world experience in one. They implemented all the tweaks I asked for, for the car. I will say it's very accurate. The car really does feel like it handles like a pig and is very difficult to drive. Especially at low speeds. All the tips you gave here would be some of the same I would give to a new driver to one of these cars. 👍

Hey Wyatt! It's awesome to have such positive feedback from someone who actually worked on the car both in real life and with the iRacing team. Thank you!

Jumped in two weeks ago at VIR and Aragon. 7 races, 2 wins, 5 2nd/3rd place finishes. Safe to say I like the car a lot and it does me well

Damn, that's an amazing record! I had the opposite - I was off pace and struggling to not lose the rear end. Which is also what prompted me to make this video 😂 my highlight at the moment is a P5 which I got in a multiclass race at VIR!

I absolutely love this car. I think that if you are someone who is a casual racer but wants a challenge and wants to improve, this is the car for you. Its harsh and unforgiving, but so rewarding once you finally start hitting your marks. Has also helped me improve my trail braking a lot. The tip about minimizing coasting was great and was not something I was paying attention to. Also, I DEFINITELY need to start relaxing my hands on the wheel. Great video, earned a sub!

I fully agree with that - there's really something to learn from cars like this. I drove it for a little while, and now I'm driving GTP prototypes, but I have to say that I miss the LMP3 and might go back to it! It just has more personality... I don't know how to explain it! Glad you enjoyed the content buddy and thanks for the support :)

Having a good pedal set with hard point of resistance giving around 80% is always helpful in iracing... but even more with this car

What pedals do you use?
@SerialDriver9 ай бұрын
@@rkarlson0083 simucube active pedal. So it's easy to match physical hard point at the locking point. But it can still be done with conventional pedal with tweaks on the curve and calibration

Thank you. Very clear. Will try these out. I came from F3 so it’s been an interesting adjustment.

Hah the entire first 4 tips i was saying loose hands, loose hands. And then tip 5 wad relax hands anf you mentioned suelio, i was right, keep the best for last. I swapped to the lmp3 last week after months of gt racing so its a huge change and very difficult to find pace. Relaxing the hands on entry really does make a biiiig difference and for me is the sole reason of spinning on entry. The ffb catches the car before you even feel whats going on so let it do its thing. Good fun tho

To add onto the brake bias section, I have found it helps to adjust the bias forwards or rear wards depending on what corner of the track you’re on. In a GT3-4 with abs it isn’t as critical, but with no abs you have move it around several times per lap to extract more pace. It’s another layer to learn to move it around and keep track of where it is, but once done correct it helps a ton on a lot of tracks.

Hi Matt great advice! Learning this per track would be the cherry on top performance wise. Definitely something to consider, especially for those who are already feeling confident with the car!

LMP3 will try to kill you until you can learn how to brake. Trail braking is also difficult but very rewarding when it clicks

That’s true this car is all about braking properly!

really?? I went from GT4 at Phillip Island and got fed up of LMP3 drivers being a'holes, so i bought it, raced it 15 minutes later, and kicked a$$.... only thing i got caught out w brake bias at end of race on low fuel... so lost a few places... but was top 10 in top split for the whole race b4 my spin. so now i put BB forward as fuel lowers and all good. LOVE THIS CAR, its iRacing's best car, most fun.
