I to am on a diet so have learnt It’s all about having the commitment and will power to keep from eating all those foods that are high in artificial sugars and saturated fats. Plus I’ve realised that smaller portion sizes are the key. I find using a smaller plate with the appropriate sized portion tricks one’s brain into seeing a decent sized meal and feeling full. So I wish Madeleine all the best with her diet and the both of you a beautiful wedding day and future together.

Yes, the hurricane wiped our whole place away! Demolished, I was also praying that it didnt hit the keys place that we have near Gieger key! Husband still in horseshoe finally got power pole and boxes up and inspected waiting for electic hook back up. It will be along time before we get our fishing place back.

The storm skirted by us here in the Tampa Bay area for the most part. Wind and some flooding, but further north around the big bend area got hit hard. Prayers to all affected! Love Madeline's yummy dance!

We did. Only storm surge. Went to Indian Shores. 4-5’ erosion on the dunes. Hopefully turtle nests survived. People bitch about the Australian Pines but they save so many properties.

Thanks, I just like seeing my future living off a shallow draft sailboat in the backwaters mostly. I have always been creeped out about swimming in mangroves but I think I'm over that now. I used to live in Key West and the Lower Keys between 1978 and 1981. We used to go out to the Marquesas Keys and snorkel to spear fish for giant snapper in the cuts. They were so spooky you had to literally hold your breath, lock and load just wait for one to move in front of your spear gun.

I think when it's really hot out fish like to be on wind-blown sides because the small chop it produces helps aerate the water, high temps suck the dissolved o2 out of the water

I envy you living the life. My first trip down was to Big Pine Key, 1981. I got my PADI certification. Several more trips over the years sailing through as my Father was a yacht Captain. My son is in the Coast Guard and was stationed in Key West in 17'/18'. Stayed at the Navy Gateway Inn for $65 a night on two trips for Lobster season. Lot's of memories..... Would luv to drop out and make it home.
