Stephen, I have been watching your video tutorials in the last couple of days and learned so much from the leverage, candlestick pattern to strategy. You are such a great teacher, very blunt and precise. I love your way of teaching, no mocking around. I'm a total beginner and went on trading last month with a broker that took advantage of my lack of knowledge. Although in the first 3 weeks of trading I managed to make a profit of US$10k at the end of 2022. And then the manager encouraged me to trade on Oil and he pointed me into the wrong direction and did not put a stop loss (I just learned this from you) on the position, it wiped out my entire balance. I trade (try to trade) SnD but I like to revisit other strategies to understand the market better. It's interesting how SnD is so similar to support and resistance, and how SnR is quite good at finding the extreme mitigation zones that are the highest probability for SnD reversal entries. Even the "double top" is similar to the BOS and return to origin of SnD.... Thanks for a simple and clear video with risk management and (gasp) an example of a losing trade. P.S. I remember how you called the Bitcoin top at 55k last year. Will forever respect you for that.

"Finding a strategy that works 90% of the time... is possible, but you're gonna do so with a very skewed reward to risk ratio" as a rookie trader, I've actually done that, and you're right, it obviously doesn't work in the long run. After a couple of big losses when I started, it affected me so much psychologically, that I was basically "playing not to lose". So trading with a highly skewed ratio, I actually racked up a string of winning trades (18 to be exact) and my noob mind was very happy... until I had a big loss, wiping out almost all my gains. Taught me a lesson I'll never forget, haha 😂

The ATR based stop loss was just super, prior to learning this from you I had no idea how volatility should be factored in from getting stopped out too early by the market. Am only looking for trades on double tops & bottoms currently in BANKNIFTY by drawing major supports & resistances from the 1 day & 1hr chart, and then my action chart with CEST in place is it's 15 min timeframe chart. Is it a good thing to do - trade on a 15 min chart basis the 1 hr chart?

imo support and resistance areas are one of the most potent factors any trader has and CAN most definitely rely on them BUT Support and Resistance areas should not be the ONLY sources of your trading decision one should also have at least 1 or 2 more factors to obtain a decent confluence of factors before trading, personally i trade on the 15 min chart and i rely support and resistance lines to show me the AREAS of possible entry but i look mainly for divergence/convergences on the stochastic RSI, before i enter in order to have a very potent entry. hope u all make tons of money.
