I am 75. I use to paint when younger. Owen Gromme taught me. He was a Famous Wisconsin USA Artist , before there were a lot of wildlife artist painting Birds. He would catch me skipping school, and sketching from the wildlife displays in the Milwaukee Museum where he worked. I was abut 10 years old. Robert Bateman like him, and in one of Robert Bateman's Art BOOKS , Owen Gromme and Tory Peterson are with Robert Bateman on a Trip in Africa. Today I noticed many Pod Cast. artist using a TRACING from a photo to teach how to paint birds. But not how to paint birds without Tracing from books, magazines, or Photos on Internet. LOVE YOUR STYLE. .I feel what you feel, it can be frightening to think possible to create a likeness. of a bird, animal, flowers using paint. I think it is like working out a very difficult math problem that many feel .
