Nice, I hope bricks is adding more advanced filter options to it. Meanwhile, can you make similar video with crocoblock, seems they have now also a bricks integration?

Hi Paul, I've watched this video and your one on setting up listings for a property website. I'm trying to set up something similar with GP and GP and Gridbuilder but I'm struggling - I initially set it all up like your property website but the facets weren't picking up the query loop at all. Then I watched Justin's video and added a code snippet which got a sort and a single filter to show up and wok properly but I have 2 other filters on the same page for the same set of data and they're not even showing?!

Paul. I've been wondering if this can be done got a post type with a taxonomy and inside the taxonomy got 3 created ones foods drinks desserts. I want the loop grid to show only when the page loads (DOM) Food and not all of the posts, but if I change the filter to desserts to show me the desserts. THe thing is If I put the grid only to show first the food (TAX) items and filter desserts it says theres no data, I think because isnt loading to the DOM the rest of the Post Type. Can this be achivable. I normally work with Jet Engine Listings and Elementor or Bricks and JetSmartFIlters, could buy this GridWP but wanna know if this can be achieved :D

Hi, great vvideo again. Is there any option or possibility to use the defined variables from Core Framework? I'm using the Wordpress Block Editor. Thanks
@WPTuts6 ай бұрын
Sadly, it doesn't look like it picks up the CF variables. I tested by installing the CF Gutenberg plugin, but all the colour values are blank when using WPGB. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed and allow for adding in consistent colours, etc., through the CF variables.

The thing is does it index the content on it's own optimized tables cos once you have 10,000 posts with several custom taxonomies and fields those queries are gonna be very heavy on the database. Slow queries = High load average > Slow site.

I've got some questions, but might be too long for a comment. Considered messaging you in the Geary IC, but then your viewers wouldn't benefit from the answers. I'm about to do something very similar to this. Brand new to facets and have WPGB. I have a CPT of "clinics" which are in one of many countries, with one of many states/provinces/austrailian states. I currently use 2 taxonomies. Countries and States. I see what you're doing here and how it works, but my question is "would this setup with sub-cities and areas" limit the use of the taxonomy to this single use? of filtering on this specific instance? Or might this approach introduce other issues if I wanted to use say the "country" itself. I know enough that this sort of setup could introduce some issues, but I've not used this approach enough to know for sure, so I'm asking. Technically speaking, one could setup a custom taxonomy like this for purpose and then do another one that's just countries for example. What might be the limiting factors to this approach?

damn the only thing I wanted to find out about you glossed over 😅 Anyone know what the "FILTER CONTENT BY (UPPER SOURCE)" thing is? The tooltip doesn't work and it's not in the documentation either...

A small question - nowhere in the video can I see if the filtering creates a unique link or not.

I wish someone create a competitive product and price it accordingly. It looks like a one-man-show and a very greedy pricing. They increase $$$ every years on their LTD not just $50 or so it would always be a great jump in pricing. I don't buy any products that doesn't support PPP either. It's just 100 sites licenses but priced above $500 lately, don't promote such expensive LTDs you could rather find something affortable by every people.

I don't see an LTD or 100 sites...

@@bob-p7x6j It is not live but will every 4-6 months they launch LTDs, hopefull for Black Friday. Don't waste money it will be expensive and $500+ and 100 sites licenses only
@WPTuts6 ай бұрын
While pricing is a difficult balance to get right, developers also need to create a sustainable business. Ltd's are useful, but they are not always the right fit for every situation. If you're building websites commercially and need to include a solid set of filtering options, this is an established plugin that does exactly what it says it will. At $49 for a single site license, that should easily be passed on to the client paying for the website. If that is out of your price range, then I'd suggest looking at alternative options, but you'll likely find them similarly priced. As for me not talking about tools that YOU consider expensive on this channel, well, let' just say that I decide what I do and do not cover and will continue to do so. ;)
