Yi's Q used to scale off AP as well as W. They reworked it to get rid of it. A good AP Yi player was almost unkillable.... Miss those days....

It not normals it a lot the time's ranked but ≈ bronze coz he can't do a funny build and stomp with what in high rank(and in normals a lot of surrender), if ur a challenge it really easy to build something stupid and stomp anyway because of ur game knowledge and much more

It's not normals. Most of his videos are on ranked at around silver level. Sometimes bronze, sometimes gold. It's so games don't just auto ff15 constantly if he gets a lead

Imo league has a really steep learning curve for the fundamentals which the game itself doesn't really teach you. If you don't have a really good grasp of wave control and map awareness, you're never going to be good no matter how much you main a champ. But if you have a good enough grasp on them that they're second nature then you can do decently well on a champ/build you've never played. Obviously as you rank up and meet people who have copped onto and have their fundamentals down this gets harder and harder to get away with.

Build of the day, True Guy Yi Max out his E, just max it out, build attack speed and on-hit effect, Rage / Wit's / Nashor Pick one of them after a zerker's boots and then a Shadowflame to make Yi's true damage critical strike, and the on-hit items along the way, afterwards just build the other on-hit items. I recommend Rageblade first then Shadowflame. Elixir of Sorcery early on as well, since the elixir also adds 25 extra bonus true damage to champions but only start using the elixir once you get your shadowflame. Rageblade proc's this damage twice as well Yi's passive double strike. Runes: Lethal Tempo ofc. You can try out first strike, since that 7% initial damage is true damage but since yi is melee, doubt they'll let you use it when you're going ham. But eh... Lethal Tempo seems to be the safest, with First Strike being the more rewarding. Yes, like the Thresh one IE would bump it up further on all of the damage. ... I tried it, no tank was left un-touched, so much true damage.

I'm not even sure if the Catalyst is worth while. Didn't test in game due to lazy, but it says "25% of mana spent, up to 20 per cast". Pretty sure that means it heals for a whole 20 HP per W. Unless each individual instance of mana cost per tick with W counts as a "cast".
