I use Masterbooks Language Lessons for my daughter, and she likes it! I think it is because the lessons are simple and short. It doesn't seem like they would learn anything due to the lessons being so short, but they do! I think that is the key to retaining information. Bite size chunks. And concepts are and can be reviewed over and over so that they do learn them well. I noticed today that her comprehension is getting so much better. Good luck and God Bless you!

I've hop scotched between curriculums a lot. Hubby told me to stick to something that won't cause tantrums and tears so we are going back to MasterBooks again this year, but keeping TGTB Math :) I will also be adding in Literature/Readers and IEW's Grammar and Writing. I love how MB's lessons are short then I hope to spend any additional time on review, extra practice or fun projects :)

We homeshool 4 days per week. We do 2 lessons whenever a lesson is short to complete the five lessons per week.

I'm thinking of the TGATB Math Level 7 that was just released. I think we will probably stick with Masterbooks for Level 7!

I have a son with ASD /ADHD. I’m considering Language Lessons level 6 for next year. I think the shorter lessons will be good and he can have some control of his day. I was also thinking it would be easy to supplement things I want. I was also thinking about BJU. It seems awesome, but a lot! Does your experience with this curriculum seem anywhere close to reasonable for what I’m looking for?

@janaseegel2560 The lessons are definitely shorter than The Good and The Beautiful! We were actually comparing the level 7 for both of them today, and Masterbooks is definitely more in line with what we want to keep going for her!

Are you thinking of using level 7 for the upcoming year? How long does a lesson take?

We are! We decided the other day that we're going to go ahead with level 7. I don't think it takes long, in my opinion. Much quicker than with The Good and the Beautiful, for us!
