Thank you so much! I have been machining for 31 years and I have finally been allowed to program on Master cam. I will watch every video to learn. Thank you again Carpe Diem

Congrats!! 31 years of machining is really impressive, as another educational resource we also provide Mastercam training if you ever want to pursue that route. - www.mlc-cad.com/training/mastercam/

Thank your for the heart. I machine submarine parts now. 32 bucks and hour to start. Just started a month ago. They have 3 brand spanking new okumas. Also I have Daewoo Puma and a Doosan that does communicate with mastercam. Okumas do not. Their programming department sucks. So I do have access now to a person as you. I asked my foreman how do I learn more. Work here he said, lol. Have a wonderful weekend. You videos will help me retire.

Thanks for the tutorial do you have a file drop where we can download that actual part or at least get the schematics to draft it ourselves?

Unfortunately we don't have this file hosted for download but you can get many similar files through the Mastercam.com Tech Exchange community or online communities such as GrabCad.

30:13 The face of the subspindle chuck jaw is 15 inches away from what? Face of the primary spindle jaws?
@MLCCADSystems Жыл бұрын
Great question! That measurement refers to the distance from the WCS of your part to the front of the jaws of the secondary spindle. Depending on where you establish Z=0 for the defined WCS plane, that will determine how far back the right spindle moves. Most commonly we see the WCS defined as the front face of part, meaning 15 inches is the total gap between the part and the secondary spindle. The value will vary if you establish the WCS at the back of the part. In this specific project we are working with an imaginary machine, so 15 inches was selected at random. I hope that clarifies things!

Hi Sir. Could you show me where to set up ID groove that I want to its offset back edge of the insert instead of front edge that mastercam defaulted.? Thank you Sir

This sounds like a good question for your local Mastercam reseller to help you with, and I'll relay the request to our team to create a video if possible to address this request.

Hi, thank you for your amazing video. I have some doubts. How do i program retractions for tool changing instead of using G28?
@MLCCADSystems2 жыл бұрын
A tool retraction is controlled several ways. The most common way is via a post processor and default settings, thus requiring no additional inputs from the end user. You may need to make changes because you’re programing for several different CNC machines. Within the toolpath parameters pages you can make additional changes via the Home Position option and the Misc. Page. You will need to ensure that your post processor supports making these selections. If using the “user defined” method, simply type in the desired position. If using the “from tool” method, it will read the home position set within the definition of the tool If you have more questions, reach out to support to discuss your specific needs. Can I change to one line canned cycle?
@MLCCADSystems Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is a standard option in the post files and can be done. The visual you will see in Mastercam will show the 2 line as the “example” as this is the newer standard for machine output. But the true output from Mastercam will show the one line as needed.
