Andrea should've been still cooking, and Katie's the other one on borrowed time. She's made so many mistakes and keeps skating. Y'know at the start of the season I wasn't a huge fan of Dan.. his personality is a bit annoying, BUT he is actually a really somewhat kind and genuine person. Very jovial and supporting of even his competitors. The only time he didn't clap immediately for someone was when he was top 3 and he thought he made the best dish. But he still congratulated them and clapped after a moment.

I agree but for different reasons, he can't take the pressure, not a team player, introvert, anxious and just the kind of person that doesn't need to be trashed or insulated by a judge because he will take it to the heart and return home all depressed, gladly Ramsay saw it and wasn't harsh with him. Before entering Masterchef all contestants are evaluated by general doctors and by psychiatrists (twice btw) so we will not have to see someone having a heart attack and passing away in the middle of the show or like in this case fainting. Same with that finalist from S3, Josh I belive, who after committed suicide, he was seriously mentally ill had bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and all the stress triggered something that was barely starting to show to the point that in less than a year he lost it completely while during the show no one could have told. Very unprofessional, at the end, they just check for drugs in the blood, something contagious, sugar, heart problems and allergies and the psychiatrists by what a contestant that went through the selection process described are just there to see if a contestant is not completely bonkers and will not try murder a judge after a rejection,

@@mrpeachees2388 if you watched all the way from ep 1, you will notice that every time, and i mean EVERY TIME Nathan got on a challenge that involved any sort of teamwork, he was a deadweight. When going solo, he would perform good enough to survive, but everytime he got into a team he managed to bring the worst out of his teammates because of how umbearable he was. The moment David said "i think it´s Shaun" when the chefs were ready to kick someone out i was like "Really? Nathan literally did nothing and had his teammate spend most of the time watching of him rather than the food." Had they kicked Shaun it would be proof that the show never had anything to do with cooking and everything to do with drama, because that was all Nathan was there for.

When I was 20 I wasn't doing anything productive for my future, and I didn't fully grow up until I was almost 30, so even though he's not "masterchef quality" he has still accomplished more than most 20yr olds have ever come close to.

I love Brandie and MasterChef, but it's challenges like this that show the producers usually have an idea who they want to win these reality TV "contest" shows. I've seen it in challenges in RuPaul's Drag Race, Hell's Kitchen, a few others, and now MasterChef. If she would have been given probably 15-25 more min, she probably could have done the challenge with just the three implements given...and that's not shade. that's a complete compliment. the time pressure forced them all to come up with new ways to use everything around them, which is cool.

I get that Nathan lasted longer than he should have, but problems loomed large that others did much worse than him. I don't entirely agree about the way most people view Nathan. He only ended up in the bottom once. Yes he can be immature and not useful in team challenges, but I think that anywhere near top 8 suits him well. On the other hand, Katie should have been gone a while ago because she was pretty mediocre, compared to the other competitors. The only reason why she made it far was because other people screwed up worse in certain challenges. Other than that, she should have been eliminated in top 10 because Diamond should have been eliminated in top 11, if it weren't for Andrea's unfair disqualification.

Come on, give me a break. In previous episodes, there have been chefs that did worse than him. Tanorria's dish wasn't even a dish, and you mean to tell me that's better than Nathan's?! You need to bleach your eyes. Katie gave Christina a raw potato in her french fries. It was inedible!!! Eric, his ego totally got the better of him, and pushing Nathan like that shows him being unprofessional. Terry just wasn't familiar with the canned salmon and got tripped up by it. Dan, he should be fortunate that he wasn't disqualified for using sweet potatoes for his french fries where everybody used regular potatoes. Diamond put a Bibimbap that just didn't make sense at all. David almost cost himself with putting an Italian dish with a Korean dish. Overall, Nathan just stayed neutral and just kind of played in the background. He's not bad, but he's not good. He's kind of average. I just think he needs to calm down and keep a firm focus because in the long run, he knows that in life, he's going to face this kind of adversity every single time. I hope he'll be okay after this.
