That's because Marco is a ***true*** master chef. He knows he's damn good. He **doesn't** need a pat on the back. He **doesn't** need a half dozen shows to brag. He **doesn't** have to prove himself to anyone but himself. That's how the master chefs of Europe work, the traditional/authentic master chefs. Gordon in comparison is insecure. He lacks confidence. He has a half dozen shows to brag about his skills. In shows, he's screaming at junior chefs. Yes. It happens in kitchens. Gord is excessive, there are times others in the background turn to look at his disrespectful conduct. But then is there a better way to elevate his "expertise" than make others look incompetent?

Advice
@steve8234
@steve8234 3 жыл бұрын
@Jaime Dale So, the main difference between advice vs advise is that “advise” (with an S) is a verb that to recommend, or to give information to someone. On the other hand, “advice” (with a C) is a noun: an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action. In this situation advice is the proper word.

Freigeist because he didn’t agree with the fact that people who can’t cook rate your dishes and put an immense amount of stress on the chef and staff. To earn Michelin stars, everything has to be exaggerated, even the scenery, taking away the focal point, which is the food.
@MansMan42069
@MansMan42069 3 жыл бұрын
@Freigeist The journey to 3 stars is very exciting. But once you've won 3 stars, keeping them becomes very boring. He's working 90 hours a week and not getting to enjoy life. He's being judged by people who know less. He could have continued doing what he was doing, retain his status, but be miserable. He could live a lie. Pretend to cook when he doesn't. Retain his position but question his integrity because he believes the chef should be behind his stove. Or he could leave it all. Lose his status, but be free to do whatever he wants.

Wow, I wish the American chef shows were like this... Ramsay for instance has a ton of talent but the later seasons (Hell's kitchen, kitchen nightmares) focus so much on edited drama rather than the core of the show: a renowned chef mentoring and critiquing newer chefs in a competitive setting. 5:40, White actually helps her here. All the clips from American food shows I see are all about the drama and not the positive culinary focus present in this video.

It started yesterday with Reynold's moss dessert which was followed by binging every single Reynold moment, followed by binging MC Aus. I've fallen down the MC Aus rabbit hole and I'm loving it. Getting quite hungry though...

Marco is that person who's very intimidating indeed but when you look at him you know deep down all his words, advice, and criticisms are meant to bring the best in you. The most inspirational man I've ever seen.
