The expert for this week's masterclass is Deepika Saraswat. She is an Associate Fellow at the West Asia Center. Her research interests include Iran’s geopolitics in the Middle East and Eurasia and the interpenetration of religion and politics in postcolonial contexts. Her research project at MP-IDSA is on ‘Iran’s Asian Orientation: Quest for Status and Regional Cooperation.
Dr Saraswat has a PhD in Political Geography from the Centre for International Politics Organisation and Disarmament, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Earlier, Dr Saraswat was Research Fellow at the Indian Council of World Affairs (March 2018-October 2021). Her book titled ‘Between Survival and Status: The Counter-hegemonic Geopolitics of Iran’ was jointly published by the Indian Council of World Affairs and Macmillan Education in January 2022.

Very relevant from Indian perspective, Israel came to existence close to the time when India gained independence from colonial rule. Both countries have their religious complications to deal with, yet Israel has accomplished much science and technology. Clearly, Dr. D. Islamic revolution mein Nationalism tah jis ki wajah se abhi tak unki soil foreign country use nahi kar pa rahi hai. Balke abhi usko threats k hisab mein liya jaa raha hai. 6 day mein Arab ko dhool chatane wala Israel ab tak Iran ko finish nahi kar paya.
