to be so talented in both piano and violin...Sophie has truely outdone herself. She must have really practiced 40 hours a day!

Sophie also got to participate as the student in Daniil Trifonov's first ever masterclass on the piano. Wow! Talk about world class mentorship on both instruments! She's certainly on her way to becoming the next Julia Fischer. A superstar in the making.

She is an outstanding concert pianist AND violinist ?! Unglaublich!!!

The first solo entry is SO tricky to get right. It is so simple, but not simple to play well. When he demonstrated it was totally natural and the piano responded to him, totally irresistible. She is a very fine player, but he is amazing. Congratulations to Noriko Shiozaki for superb piano accompaniment/orchestra.
@pauldeck45002 жыл бұрын
Well there's a reason he's giving the masterclass and she's the student. But he wouldn't be spending time on her if he didn't think she was worth every minute. Regarding the "simplicity" of Mozart, I forget the source, but some famous pianist said that when he was young, he didn't play Mozart because it was too easy, and now that he's older and more experienced, he doesn't play Mozart because it's too hard.

I would kill the see Brett or Eddy have a masterclass with such a grandmaster. The fact it's Sophie playing for Maxim is amazing and it show's a lot about her skill and dedication to pushing herself further in music, truly Inspiring.

So understandable...... Mozart is so damn difficult to play. That's the reason why I am having so much respect for Grumiaux, who in my opinion is the best violinist playing Mozart.

Gosto da escuta comparativa de diversas interpretações; nisso os ensaios de orquestra e aulas mestras são o referencial. Admiro Vengerov, apreciar suas lições só nos enriquece.

@russellbaston12233 жыл бұрын
I don't think she is unhappy, rather more disillusioned. She is very talented on piano and violin ( maybe she sees herself as a bit of a Julia Fischer?) I think she thought she was was only going to get lots of praise and Vengerov does take her apart, rightly in my opinion, she is technically excellent but 'souless' and he picked it up instantly. One of the best teaching I ever had on playing Mozart was to just 'sing it' which is exactly what Vengerov is demonstrating to her.
