HISTORY >> She is a cancer survivor from uterine cancer at the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. She also says her voice is “from God.” David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all travelled to Asia to work with her. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. Because of this she is prone to catching pneumonia but has sang perfectly while suffering from it in her live performance of “You Raise Me Up” before Shane Filan of Westlife on South Korean Tv. AS you know by now she re-writes or does All own arrangements....then tells the band what she is looking for And Her Back-up singers for the most part is from her church {{According to Kim So Hyang, her goal is to use her voice to comfort people who are going through difficult times}} Some other Greats>>>>>>>>>>>>> She is a Cancer survivor And still gets sick from Time to time. But is an Amazing Artist who gave up a Kpop career to sing for the Lord and for the Love of Music instead of stardom. She learned English as a Child from Disney Movies, which inspired her to Write two of her Books...(both Published and there are more). Yes, Lucy is terrific along with her younger sister, but then so is SoHyang. They have very different styles and SoHyang has the benefit of age and experience under her belt, so she can sing these emotional numbers with the necessary credibilty. She has actually lived those experiences, whereas the lovely Lucy is only starting out on Life`s journey. I do own her CD`s, so I am a big fan of Lucy`s.
