Fantastic job on the truck Chris, as always you took us through the process explaining what you are doing which is a huge help especially on the primer and I also like to watch your filler prep videos. I used to have some similar IR lamps but found it difficult to paint in the winter so invested in a heater for my workshop, it was 2C (35F) in my booth this morning but my heater soon got it to 18C (65F) which is much better for painting. What type of spray gun would you recommend for a beginner, LVLP or HVLP? Also which brand, model etc? I'm going to paint the hood on my truck and I would like to have a decent spray gun for it and future projects.

Depends on your needs, I honestly would start with a lvlp . This YT-160 is great. The Inokraft Drizzle D1. I have these linked in the description. You can't go wrong with either one.
