Evening Chris it’s coming on well bud I’m watching and am looking forward to the covering that’s what puts me off from building something so it’s great to see a build like this, I’ve had a few things arriving over the week lol I must put a lock on the clicky button as red hot chilli peppers would sing “can’t stop “ 🎶🎶🎶🎶 lol I loaded a tease on my chan and gonna put short lay out of parts as my camera man told me to do one apparently fortnight comes first lol 😂 my build of it is two bolts and glue the canopy window on and she’s together G🇬🇧

Some nice building there Chris, there is a lot to it!! The likes of Mr Harvey and Mr Croucher make it look very easy!! But for us mere mortals it's a bit more involved, anyway your doing a great job 😀👍

I know, my brain is terrible, I forget the simplest of things. Next video will be before the new year, the better half has had me running around getting ready for Christmas, I mean the house has looked like a grotto for weeks. You and your family have a fantastic Christmas 🎁🎄🎁

Probably too late now Chris but you want to glue as many bits onto the wing while it's still pinned down, that includes the sheeting and the leading edge. I'm a little concerned there's no dihedral brace, I would use a piece of 1/16 ply and extend it over a couple of rib bags either side, sticking it behind the main spar, you can remove 16th inch balsa wood from the ribs easily enough 🤔👍

Hi Chris Merry Christmas ! I might try this plane for my first build. What do you use for your building board ?

You should, it’s fun. I use plasterboard cut down to size for my table, pins are easy to push in then. I used the silver tape i had from the Hangar insulation to stop the sides marking me or crumbling. I then used the see through covering sheet you use when painting. Merry Christmas 🎄

So how will the wing stay together at the joint with no wing dihedral Brace ? Or is their one in the plans? 🤔

I have looked over the plans and cannot see any brace. I will double check the plans, as you made me doubt myself 😂. But I know that both ends of each wing glue together. I will have to make a brace if it does not have. Have a great Festive Holiday 🎄.

@@DadsRCHangar thanks Chris, just found mine would you believe. BEFORE you glue on the leading edge of the wing twist & bend the wing frame in the seam from a kettle, you can get it as straight as you wish but you then must hold it down with weights etc flat until it dries over night, then stick the leading edge on, I use steam all the time to straighten wood etc when it’s bent or twisted.

If you want a dynam gloster gladiator from HK if I was you I would get one on back order, they are due in the Uk at the end of January & it’s only about £150 if ordered now. Only five arrived in November, I got one of them because I had it on back order, they sold out within an hour of them putting the plane on HK website Uk

Yea I don’t know what they did not ship a bigger container. Well I been looking at the Nexa A-24 Banshee to get next, when I make room in the Hangar. We will see 🤔

@@DadsRCHangar nice plane the banshee, the reason HK said they only sent 5 gladiators was they only had 5 left in stock , a light loaded bi- plane is a dental easy fly according to the utube people that have one. I’ve made more room in my workshop/ hanger by moving the planes not made up & still in boxes up in the house loft, & the wife can’t see what I’ve got up there lol…..

Thanks Chris, I’ve just bought a dynam gloster gladiator from hobby king UK who just opened a Uk based warehouse, lipo batteries are really cheap got 4 x 2200mah 4s 50c for less than £50 for the gladiator which is a beautiful plane & everyone says it’s great on utube, have a look, foamy that just needs screwing together. Hobby king have always been very reasonable on cost but the postage for a plane use to be about £100 from Hong Kong but now free!! Get your self a gloster gladiator from Father Christmas, u will love it! Happy Xmas Chris🎄

@@DadsRCHangar Good morning, Mr. Hanger. It's just after 7:00 a.m. here in the desert southwest. Tell me, what's it like in the future? Balsa wood is wonderful stuff, once you get to know it. Give it time. As for your next build, yeah, I have some ideas. Something designed for a beginner. Something more...substantial. A trainer. Unfortunately, virtually all of the good ones are gone forever. But there's still hope. Probably the most famous trainer of them all is the Sig Kadet. There is the slab-sided Sig Kadet Mark II, and the more traditional stick-built Sig Kadet Senior. On the other hand, there is the Great Planes PT-40, or, better still, the PT-60. All are excellent. Just pick one and follow the very detailed instructions to the letter. What could possibly go wrong?
