Very helpful tips, but when I write my music, I begin to pan my stuff before mixing, that keeps me saved from issues in the stereo imagine. I also equalize everything in my mix, even samples, because it may happen that a sample is louder than any other part in your mix. One last tip from my side: if you use plugins and presets reduce or increase the output volume, so the less work you'll have at least whilst gain staging your mix.
@justvolt3 жыл бұрын
Obviously panning depends on your taste and if you like it, then do it, but usually EDM producers (like Mo) use stereo widening instead, because panning can create an unbalanced feel between each side
@TraxtasyMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@justvolt but now explain this, why is bass always panned left and mono? So if you center it and give it a bigger stereo ranger in the higher frequency it automatically becomes muddy. Same with vocals. At least you work even more on equalizing your stereo spectrum than effectively on your whole balancing :) And no: A IS NOT 432Hz! xD
@mofalkmusic3 жыл бұрын
Hello, quick help from me. Stereo width is not the same as panning. Panning is terrible and no sane person relies on panning to clean or further improve a mix. On the contrary, stereo width is very useful place instruments further or closer to the listener, subconsciously creating separation between elements in your mix. There is a mixing masterclass on my channel just in case 😉😜
@TraxtasyMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@mofalkmusic ah nice thank you very much, gonna check that out ^^
@justvolt3 жыл бұрын
@@TraxtasyMedia You don't make bass stereo unless it's a mid bass but still, don't overdo it, if it's a bass guitar that you record then make sure everything with the recording input is correct, but no sane person pans their bass.
