Mastering GW2's Worst Peashooter [Part 1]

I asked, and you guys voted. Since our time with Armor Chomper, we're now on to Rock Pea, which is usually considered to be the worst of all Peashooters in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. But why? Well, a special little gimmick known as "projectile veering" is here to keep things interesting...
This episode is easily some of the weirdest stuff I've ever encountered in the game, I'm not gonna lie to you. I think I'm still processing it.

Hi. I'm a rat owner and wanted to let you know that it's a mouse! Rats have way smaller ears and a flatter nose. While there's no in-game rat to compare it to the cartoonish exaggeration of a mouse's most prominent details (large ears, round nose, long tail) lead me to the conclusion its a mouse. I will mention that Dumbo rats a type of fancy rat do have large ears.

you would think because the whole character’s thing is rocks that there would be more damage with the projectiles because, well, rocks. Apparently not though. Splendid.

6:01 Theres a couple of things you can do with bean bomb. You can either: Bean throw, this is where you use hyper’s jump momentum to throw the bean bomb very high and far, exploding it right as it lands. This gives no time to react and will get you a lot of free kills if mastered. This works the best with regular bean bomb You can also see it as a tool that lets you zone out an area since no one is able to enter the radius. You can for example chuck it at a wall and stay next to it when a super brainz or scientist is running up to you, preventing them from fully approaching you. Works best with sombrero. Alternatively you can also use it as a movement tool, if you learn ‘bean jumping’ or ‘bean hopping’ which lets you fly across the map (you can make it to the end of moon base Z’s first point in a few seconds with it), I’d recommend looking up a tutorial video for it, it’s hard to put into words. Works best with dark bean bomb, since you have 2

Rock pea used to have a STUN mechanic on enemy hit... with it gone and no buff to replace the nerf, he was left in a weak state.

Since the projectile inherents the momentum (like irl), you might want to lead them based on your movement as well. If you are moving to the left, aim a bit to the right. If your opponent is moving the same direction as you, you can probably aim straight at them, and it will hit. If you are moving on opposite directions, then you will have to lead even more to hit.

What if you named the critter on your head “Roe-Dent” (Roe as in the fish egg kind and Dent as in Car Dent or something)? That way it won’t matter if it’s a rat or a mouse, since the name works for any rodent! Love this and the Metal Chomper series! I was a bit worn out from PVZGW2 for a while now, but your videos reignited a flame in me, enough to make me want to come back to the game, and try a chomper out myself! Of course it isn’t Metal Chomper levels of different, but going from being a Power Cactus main to playing Count Chompula, I feel like that’s a big jump. Really enjoying your content, keep it up!

Thing is gattling spam is kinda the best thing to do with rock pea. The upside of extra hp works well with the ability that gives you significantly increased damage at the cost of staying completely still and vulnerable. Overall ngl I don’t think rock pea is “bad” but it’s just a major adjustment to go from shots firing where you go to binding of Isaac tear nonsense. He’s actually kinda the best peashooter if you sell your soul and just spam Gatling.

50% of the time if you just throw bean bomb at ur feet in a 1v1 it usually hits. if you have trouble with it going too far i would recommend dark bean bomb due to the shorter explosion time, although it does not one shot anything besides imps!
