You’re great Paul you’re going help so many people out with these videos on how to do a Lg and many other brands. I am sure the general public salute you 🫡🫡🙂

Many thanks for great videos. A Zanussi tumble dryer saved from the junk heap. You didn't have the part but as a thanks a bottle has just been added to your drinks cabinet, for those special work parties. Keep up the excellent work.

You are a legend and one of the best I’ve seen on KZbin! You certainly know your stuff! I have a 5 year old LG that stinks so bad when it’s on a long 40 degree wash so it’s 3 hours 45 mins long. It’s like as the water cools in the machine, it lets off a nasty poo like smell from the detergent drawer. I can only smell it when I go into the room after being out of it. I’ve used washing machine cleaner several times and the smell kinda goes for one wash and comes back again. I always leave door open so am baffled why this is happening.

you need to do a 90 degree wash to get rid of the smell

This issue is quite common, and many people are unfamiliar with the intricacies of plumbing. If your washing machine is connected to a sink unit, it's crucial that the waste pipe runs at a high point before reaching the sink. This prevents water from the sink unit, containing food particles and debris, from flowing back into the washing machine and causing contamination. Specifically for LG washing machines, it may be challenging to follow my video on mould removal. However, I encourage you to watch it till the end or skip to the conclusion to see the results. I utilise dishwasher tablets and fill the machine to maximum water level for a boil wash, if possible. Although your machine might have a tub clean system, it may not always provide sufficient water. The issue with LG machines lies in their pressure switch parameters, which typically range between 255 Hz (empty drum) and 129 Hz (full drum) frequency on fill levels. Consequently, you might encounter an error while attempting the process demonstrated in my video. Assuming your plumbing is accurate, I recommend running a couple of boil washes. A useful technique is to pause the machine when the water reaches its hottest temperature and let it sit for 20-30 minutes, allowing time for debris dissolution. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fp-2aWqKrJmUo68 it is also very useful for us if you are able to share our channel on your social media because although I have a great knowledge in appliances, I'm not the best IT guy when it comes to making sure these videos get viewed. The information I provide does help a lot of people and when they find us, they're happy. @blakaeg please remember to subscribe to our channel as that really helps us kzbin.infoe432SAb2g08 Thanks, Paul 👍

@@How-to-repair I really appreciate that advice. I shall do what you say as I suspect the Tub Clean and the 90 degree wash I’ve done has not high enough water level so reach the tub properly to clean it. It’s a great machine and I don’t to keep it going. Thanks so much ;)

Glad you think so mate! Could you do me a favour and take part in a poll I've made about the lifespan of appliances? You just need to tick one of two boxes. It will only take about 10 seconds. This might help us improve how machines are made in the future😇 Here's the poll question: www.youtube.com/@How-to-repair/community Also sharing will get more people to participate and we will have a greater impact with the manufacturers thank you for helping.

Hi Paul! So the problem I have on my LG washing machine is that the silver rectangular shaped bumps on the inside of the drum have started to come loose...annoyingly this is tearing holes in my clothes! To get to it, it seems I would need to remove the plastic covering all around the external of the drum to get to the nuts securing the rectangular parts....is this possible?

I have a Model WD14071SD6 LG front loader that has a rear drum gasket. A pen left in the wash punctured it and caused a leak. I was wondering if you have a video on removing the rear gasket?

Hi, love your instructional videos, you are succinct and explain clearly. I replaced the rotor tub (after extreme noise and impaired spinning and initial LE code). Ordered a rotor hub on Amazon and replaced it because it was stripped and less expensive that ordering a sensor. I installed it, but now rubbing against the motor (part that has the wired copper threads)screws when spinning. Thinking that tub is too tilted back in upper section or PVC shock absorber warned out (model WM2301HW). Have no idea what initial position of tub is. Cannot afford a repair that is more expensive than a new machine. Retired and mechanically able and skilled woman, wanting to save money
