one thing to know for all characters, but magneto especially, is that you can cancel your shot animation with a melee. for some characters, ones that shoot 1 projectile with some time in between, they can use their melee right after each shot with no penalty to your normal primary fire cool down. it works with magneto very well resulting in free, additional close range damage.

Punisher got knowledge checked there. He didn't know he was actually the perfect counter at that exact moment. Magneto loses that precise scenario every time. Punisher's ultimate EASILY destroys Magneto's ultimate in a second.

@@yojacarri He does but the problem is that Magneto's ult has a health bar. Punisher causes so much damage so fast that he immediately breaks your ultimate before you can aim it. You have enough time to just about start the ult and immediately fire it before Punisher destroys it with his ult

This. It can make a difference for a character like Magik or BP to reliably enter or exit an enemy team's backline. You can also monitor your fellow tank's health and shield him when he gets too low so you're healers can have a chance at keeping him alive. Magneto is just so useful

Magneto is completely slept on. He's my main and what a bunch of people don't realize is your projectile stops. I think 20 yd or something it but it does a small explosion so you could hit people that are hiding behind cover

His damage feels ass in general beside the Wanda team up ability and the ult. I know he isn't supposed to be a damage character... but he's far too weak on this in my opinion.

@@tylregor5481He actually does a lot of damage. If you aren’t then you’re not hitting direct hits on enemies. Hitting them with the aoe of his basic attacks does a lot less damage. You really have to focus on direct hits and you’ll be dishing out lots of damage.

His primary fire feels a bit inconsistent. Like, his shot is a burst aoe like a flak gun, but the radius just doesnt seem to function properly when im trying to do my best to take out flyers. It deals decent enough damage I just with it was easier to hit with. Oh and tip, his bubbles work like Zarya bubbles from OW and you can block Scarlet Witch and Iron Man ults with the bubbles and the shield. His shield ABSORBS the ult rather than just blocking it, but its all the same when you consume "MAXIMUM PULSE!" and save your team.

The burst is it's best when he's at a specific distance from his target because it gets larger the longer it travels and I believe also increases in damage. I think his alt fire knocks enemies away just far enough for them to be in max damage range of his primary (assuming they're like up close and personal with you)

You don’t, if you suck up too many projectiles it will blow up in your face. Try and charge it till you see about “80-85” and throw it. You’ll still 1-shot non-vanguards that way.

He pairs really well with any melee characters. Bith vanguard and duelist. Magik ks a good example.shes tanky on her own but could get overwhelmed if shes jumped. Magnetonfixes that

Gotta say as a new magneto main I did not know the Ult had better damage when you waited! Im over here spam pressing the button to release it as soon as I get it! (Also never realised how good the black and silver armour looks in game)

It doesn’t charge up with time. But it will absorb all projectiles in range and convert that damage into the explosion at the end. The reason you wait is to allow more time for the bubble to absorb stuff so you can turn it into extra damage

if you play magneto something to consider about his ult is thats its a defensive tool cause it consumes all incoming fire and then turns there fire against its enemies so use it to cancel ults like iron man and if you're good at the sound cue punisher

is ult is a good counter to punishers and star lords to as it eats projectiles in a good amount of space around you and combined with barrier after starlord struggles to not aim at you if you position well, it also deleted iron-mans explosion if you catch it

It's the other way around. Punisher's ult fires so fast that it will destroy Magneto's ult before he even has a chance to fire it.

He really only shines as a backup tank, he's designed to stand behind at least one or two teammates and have like 20m between you and the target. Anytime im on him as the only tank its usually impossible to push

You shouldn’t fully charge his ult, it’s better to just remember the thresholds for different characters so that they can’t react. Also killing lua snow in her ult requires fully charged ult and 85 points at the bottom, which is pretty inconsistent to hit.

Just let it complete. It will automatically throw if maxed. The only thing that you'll have to pay attention to is the bar that fills up when it absobs projectiles. Many people dont know this but his ult sucks in all projectiles (basically stopping the enemy team from being able to shoot) and adding the damage to his ult. But pay attention to the bar that fills because if it absorbs too much it gets canceled.

The purple ring around magneto is the area where projectiles get absorbed. If the bar reaches more than 100 the ult breaks. Also good for countering enemy ults like punisher, ironman, Starlord, Hela etc.

no. the big mistake is thinking you can safely get his ult to 100%. new players need to know that magnetos ult can overflow. like if it passes 100% and you dont notice, you dont get an ult. with that being said. dont run from magneto ults. the entire team should just focus magneto. ive seen the alt disappear before he even finished the sentence "feat magneto"
