this is probably why its more popular to add cream to drip coffee rather than milk, at diners and such

Yeah, I like half and half. If you have a bitter cup of coffee you can damp it down with just a splash.

That’s only a thing in the us

@@atticustay1 definitely, i meant "more popular at diners and such" to imply within the us

I use 3.25% Milk, frothed with a good technique at correct temperature. And I just use less milk and if I want more drink I'll just double everything. 😁 I agree though black vs milk a slightly stronger brew will be more pleasant even if it's a bit on the sour side because the milk will mask it anyways. Works for my taste buds. 👍🏼

My flat whites are 6oz cups so my espresso is usually no more than 30ml for a dark rich blend or 32ml for median to median light roasts. I find when sailing I need my coffee so a mokka pot is the way to go and use a french press to froth up warmed up milk.

For a cappuccino I like to pull a ristretto (20gm beans for 30gm shot in 27 seconds) to get an intense coffee flavor.

I usually pair dark roast filtered coffee (15g) with 1 tea spoon of condensed milk and 3 ~ 4 tea spoon of evaporated milk.
@AlternativeBrewingАй бұрын
Ahh I had evaporated milk too - just wasn’t too sure about it 👌 thanks

Being based in Darra, I'm surprised you didnt review whisking an egg yolk into your coffee. Don't know what I'm talking about? Walk down to Cam Ranh opposite the station and they'll sort you out.
@AlternativeBrewingАй бұрын
I've actually heard a bit about that! Good shout - I'll definitely be trying it soon ☝️

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to learn from this, using more coffee/ less water will make my coffee stronger? milk with coffee taste better when the coffee is strong?
@space.youtubeАй бұрын
Really? That's what you took from the video? Not saying it'll be of use to everyone, but clearly if you're new to coffee and want to know which method will better lend itself to milk drinks, this video provides that information, right?
@tomn2765Ай бұрын
Videos aren't about giving you answers to think or believe. They're giving you information so you can make your own choices. Take some of the advice and experiment and try some things to see what you'll learn.
@AlternativeBrewingАй бұрын
You are absolutely right, I should have been more specific, this video is more about the specific techniques for brewing stronger coffee for milk coffee!

That small shot of 40g for a 12oz latte?
@AlternativeBrewingАй бұрын
It's all about strength - not volume 😉 40g shot easily adds flavour to a 12oz - if you got the espresso extraction on point. Crazy right!? it's what a majhoprity of cafes do.
