So far I'm loving the montage. Right now i only wish for a color contrast settings option. You screen looks darker some how in this video. Anyway thanks for your clear and well explained videos.They helped out big time

I have been unable to send MIDI from my DAW on channels higher than 8. I've discovered within the first day of owning the Montage that it ignores MIDI data coming in on channels 9-16. A 16 track orchestration only played the first 8 tracks. Just now, I devised the simplest test. I set up one track in my DAW. Chan 1, bank preset 1, patch Pn CFX Concert. I put some notes on the staff and hit play. It plays out the Montage. Change channel to 2 and repeat. All was well through ch 8. Above chan 8, no sound was produced by Montage. Remember, the only parameter I changed was the channel number. Yamaha tech support insists that the Montage can hear and play from ext MIDI data on all 16 channels. But no one can seem to tell me how to set up the Montage to receive channels above 8. So how do I do that?

On the modx it has audio 1-16 and my midi out on FL Studio was port 1 and channel was set to 16 and it played a choir. I've played audio on all channels above 8 and they all work. I just pressed part select to get to the channels 9-16 and just had a midi out with midi channels 9-16 and they all played.

I was under the impression that the montage had some kind of special interconnectivity with Cubase. Guess I was wrong.

Instead of separate by channel, you select select by pitch
