I rarely fish musky, but i am always open to learning more about species.

@@FoxFishing4K I love it! Musky hunting is similar to bass fishing on steroids, and then we just add a figure-8 to the end of the cast haha. I also now can’t stop figure-8’ing while multi-species fishing now

Chas! As always your passion is what drives it. When you have passion and knowledge, you have success. One of the baits not mentioned was "The Meat". It is somewhat seasonal but also a great producer. Perhaps you can touch on that. I will anxiously wait for the next one. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.. P.S. What did you cook for dinner?

Having been a musky hunter since I was 16(I’m 43 now)I know there is always something new to learn about the sport and the fish themselves! Thanks so much Chas for your wealth of knowledge and I will always try and apply what I learn in your videos, Rock On Dude!

Great stuff, Chas - thanks!! I'm so happy for this new series. Off season is the time for reflection and learning, and this is perfect. Looking forward to what you have planned. On this first episode, I couldn't agree more on the 7'6" LEMXHF. 2024 was the year of the gliders and jerkbaits for me, and that rod is my new favorite, by a lot actually. I have mine paired with a Tranx 301 high speed reel. Light and well-balanced, and I can make the lures dance so effectively. Thanks again for the educational videos!

Thanks! I'm really pumped to hear that! The LEM76XHF was also my "rod" of the fall season as the GlideRaider really came through for me as the temps cooled. Episode #2 will be out next week -- "reading water - how to know where to go!"

Chas - great episode and I am looking forward to the next 6 episodes! Two questions. First, for reels the default in the discussion was baitcasting reels, but what about the higher capacity spinning reels? Also, for rods similarly the default was baitcasting rods, but what about longer spinning rods. As an example, I regularly use a 8'6" salmon steelhead heavy/fast spinning rod for large northern pike fishing and they perform very well. Perhaps, in one of the future episodes you can briefly touch on the reel type and associated rods (bait casting equipment versus spinning equipment). Thanks again. Andy

@@AndrewMorris-md6dw Andy thanks so much man! I really appreciate the question - I will be sure to incorporate trophy caliber spinning setups and rods that are associated with them in my next project installment! Looking forward to it and please, continue to add ideas or anything you’d like to see on the show!
