For very small holes after Boolean commands, I use the "join 2 naked edjes" command. In some cases, the untrim command can do the job for a surface with a hole. To make smooth edges I use the "blend surfaces" command.

Untrim is one of my favorite commands for closing holes in surfaces.

I try the hole options first. If I couldn’t delete the hole or join the naked edges, then resort to other options.
