@44:00 Reid says will never be able to confirm what the last 3 face down cards were, but I did a check of face up card and they were Flusterstorm, Street Wrath and Polluted Delta. So in the line of casting Gitaxian Probe there would have been a 2/5 (40%) chance of drawing a blue card.

m1g3 I think Reid should have drawn all the way down to 2 cards left the first time he necros, it cuts off double force but as we saw there's not a way to reliably present a win with double force, while it maxes the odds of force + duress or force + fluster. And once you're certain you don't have a use for those life points other than drawing with necro, you should spend them asap to minimize the odds of leaving important cards on the bottom (like happened with the fluster)

I believe drawing to 3 cards left (and 3 life left) allows you to preserve double force and always threaten the win the next turn. I believe the theoretically best hand at that point (if he hits them) are 2x force, 2x thoracle, 1x fluster, 1x blue card (I don't think it matters), 1x underground sea. He didn't hit the flusterstorm so his best hand is probably 2x force, 2x thoracle, 1x duress, 1x blue card, 1x underground sea. I think reid's line was worse as he essentially paid 2 life to draw a card instead of 1 life and had to accept a random card in hand. Another alternative theoretical hand is 1x force, 2x thoracle, 1x duress, 1x fluster, 1x mox sapphire, 1x underground sea allowing for force and either fluster or duress. Given he did not hit the fluster, that last card probably does not matter.
