Perhaps we should look back into Chessfiends or maybe Thought Ruler? Thought Ruler could recover our LP and spend it at the same time, and Chessfiends also have more LP costs. Also, may I suggest Pentestag to combo in with Berserk Dragon in case our opponent drops a bunch of Defense Position monsters? That way Berserk Dragon can inflict pierce/damage no matter what.

Amazing stuff as usual!!! SO stoked over our silliest cards becoming some of our best effects!!! Funniest interaction here is Being able to bring an old friend of the FACE of archfiend (kinda) Ha Des, because herald of the abyss is not only REALLY solid non targeting monster removal, but also costs 1500 to send a card... which would be able to send some neat cards LIKE -Graff (BA) -Terror King and Infernal Queen - Archfiend Soldier -Abominable Unchained soul (which is already good in the deck and could trigger dark spirits as well as procs in grave) -Snipe Hunter -most unchained Maindeck monsters -labrynth Chandelierge burst rebirth could revive empress or heiress in the battle phase while triggering masterking to be able to send emperor or empress or even annihilator for its 2000 lifepoint cost -this also works off of appointer of the red lotus which is a crazy card as is in the side deck Dark deal is another solid life point paying card that costs 1k to trigger for heiress and friends (the selection exists but is far too niche) If we end up getting to synchros later on because of chaos archfiend, thought ruler archfiend pays a stack as well! Cosmic cyclose is a staple but obviously not as good as the cont trap for our deck specifically Really those are all my immediate thoughts! will get back to you Post labbing!!!

Oh yeah! Herald of the Abyss could be a great card to use, and will likely catch people off guard. It's not a bad card by any means Milling Abominable Unchained Soul sounds like a good idea. Just another body that can recycle itself Burst Rebirth sounds interesting but I'm not sure if it's worth it when we can play Archfiend's Roar or something. We don't want to run too many LP paying cards but I haven't tested it so it could be good! I agree though, Appointer is very good

These sorts of moves can make Archfiends look and feel very technical which is pretty cool! Just need more consistent ways to get to Unending Nightmare, of at least alternatives to it

Crazy engine! I don’t think there is any other targets with 1000 atk/def unfortunately… Unending nightmare is kinda meta relevant, too; which is interesting! Would love a deck profile to try and get it as consistent as possible or just a master duel deck to help combat this crazy meta!

There's Caius the Mega Monarch which is a level 8 fiend, so that's useful for Dark Spirit recycling! I'll definitely be making a deck profile on this style of gameplay so stay tuned!

Great video! interesting interactions as well. Before knowing of them (in particular the one with staff of despair-unending nightmare for the 1k cost) , the card I kept in rotation (as per the maintenance cost of Masterking Archfiend) was Loris, Lady of Lament, which is a great one off in the Labrynth build. With the 1k cost you could circle Malice, but she ain't as good as Loris. As per the LP issue and a defenssive option I like using Number 49: Fortune Tune, it recovers 500 LP during your standby phase, and it's effect triggers Heiress, Rhino Warrior and Scarm.

Now if only there was a way to easily get to That Six for Masterking. What do you think about running Trance Archfiend instead of the Plunder Patroll monster? This way even if you summon it from Masterking, you can discard Heiress, any fiend bricks, or even the Dark Spirit pairs

There is! You can use Lord of the Heavenly Prison or that new Pharaonic Advent card. I think that's what it's called anyway. It searches continuous traps! Trance Archfiend is another good option, yes. You really want to just pick the best possible 500 target for your deck. Trance has the benefit of being an actual Archfiend, and can recycle banished cards which is very good. I only picked Plunder because I can at least draw off it, and if it gets summoned then I can go into Plunder extra deck monsters! Infernoid Decatron is another one to consider. Level 1 tuner and we already run Void Apocalypse

@@TheArchfiendGuy but wouldnt you only get 1 turn of use out of searching That Six with Lord of the Heavenly Prison? Didnt know about Pharaonic Advent. Thats pretty good since it can special summon itself. It does lock you from other special summons, so its more a MP2 set up. Still have to hard draw both I didnt think of that Plunder Patroll interaction. You can dig for a card from either Bluebeard or summoning Blackbeard but you cant use the ships effects tho.

Yeah you can get pretty low I suppose! There's a few things you can do to recover I guess but you don't want to put too much recovery in otherwise the deck gets a bit diluted and bricky. But Thought Ruler Archfiend can recover LP, and (hilariously) so can Salamangreat Sanctuary. Pandemonium can be good for saving some LP, but I prefer Palabyrinth right now

Am incredibly nervous and excited but I think I can do it. I feel it. I'm proud to represent the Archfiend community in germany and I'm so glad I found your channel back then. In a nutshell, pay 1000 LP to send Archfiend Heiress for a search, or something like Scarm to banish opponent's monsters. With Archfiend's Staff of Despair, you have an equip spell that recycles itself so you can pop it multiple times. The main recycle loop is with Tour Bus of the Underworld (send any monster back into the deck and search it back out with Heiress). Also, good luck! The deck is quite fun but just keep in mind that the support is so wild right now. It doesn't have the firepower that most modern decks have, but the Dark Spirit loop can hold its own. Dark Spirit of Banishment is definitely a card that people don't expect! With chain blocking, the idea is to just activate Masterking Archfiend last in the chain so that the opponent can only respond to it rather than anything else. Ha! This loop of course requires to pull into the Spelldestruction which is why I thought it might not be toooo good. And with the chain blocking basicly works because I have chain priority? But how? It's spell speed 2, isn't it? Sure in my own turn, I have priority but not in opponents turn right? 🤔 Thank you as well. As for the fire power, I actually think it has lots of that. Just gotta use your ammunition right. When I tested it in Edo Pro, I had some real exciting duels. Only thing I gotta say can be a bit quirky, is going second. I mean, it really has not many fast cards for that and its obviously a trap trix like "Set-Up many Trapcards" deck. But even when going second, it almost always worked out well to just then set up some traps and give your opponent the turn again. Maybe I'm biased (because next to Destiny Heroes, Labrynth is my absolute most loved deck ever since it got announced) but I really think it truly can put Archfiends to a 11/10. Sure, meta is rude but the deck even goes easily against things like Imperm. I'll definetely give my best. 🥰💙

Yes exactly! Tour Bus is a mandatory non once per turn effect, so you can always mill that for GY influencing. You're right though, it does rely on hard drawing backrow removal, but there's other ways around it. Archfiend Commander can pop Staff of Despair, same with cards like Archfiend Glitch in a pinch. This just means we get the single mill off Masterking rather than two, but that's still good. For the chain blocking stuff, the official term is SEGOC (simultaneous effects go on chain). Cards can't activate at the same time, they have to go on chain, so if Heiress wants to trigger in GY at the same time as Masterking, regardless of who's turn it is, you have to put them on a chain, but you get to choose the order. So you always go chain link 1 Heiress, chain link 2 Masterking. Chains happen in reverse, so Masterking's effect will resolve, then Heiress' effect will resolve. I think you're right about the ammunition thing. We just need to survive past the first turn! Lots of traps help with that, especially floodgates but I know that's controversial territory!

I dont think its this link time to shine yet,i feel like konami knows how much fiends like grave and mostly paying life are 1000 or 500 so when they did this mons they wanted to be careful so we might not have insane targets till konami wants,but i think is a potentially insane card,i like with garbage lord or trying with punks

The current 500 targets are pretty bad. Ryu Kishin might be something since it fulfills both targets and can be summoned off Unexpected Dai But yeah, excited to see if we get interesting targets in the future!

@@TheArchfiendGuy The first was a gimmicky hand destruction deck using DD Degsignator, Mind Crush, and exchange. I realized it would have worked better as a Lament/Labrinth deck, but it did allow me to easily banish my monsters. The second was a Lv 4 deck that used Exchange to give Terrorking to my opponent. It wasnt consistent. I am going back to a Lv 8 build with some dangers, might just buy Prohibition cause theres synergy with Necrofear. Also I pulled the pink servant, hooray.
