Number 10: Summoned Skull. Really only useful if you're running one of the cards in Skull Archfiend series. Number 9: Imprisoned Queen Archfiend. Besides the payment effect comboing with Masterking, it really doesn't do anything useful. There are better Dark Spirit targets. Number 8: Archfiend's Staff of Despair. Kinda useless unless Masterking is on the field. Then it becomes our searcher for the searcher! The fact that it bypasses targeting is also nice. Number 7: Falling Down. If so many things weren't just flat out immune to targeting this would be amazing. Oh well, the effect is still nice. Number 6: Call of the Archfiend. Routine special summoning of high level Fiend monsters is just amazing, pity that it's slow trap and requires a Fiend monster to discard. Number 5: Archfiend's Roar. Can be stopped really easily, but is very useful in recycling Dark Spirits and/or getting a big beater like Empress/Emperor onto the field to take a hit. Number 4: Labrynth Archfiend and Archfiend's Ghastly Glitch. Both of these do so much to keep the archetype chugging along and compliment each other wonderfully. Number 3: Masterking Archfiend. Probably our best rotation starter, and really plays into the original theme of Chessfiends paying LP for benefits. Bit of a pain to keep on the field though Number 2: Archfiend Heiress. Number 1 Archfiend searcher by default auto makes it amazing. Number 1: Archfiend Empress. We all know why she's the best still after HOW many years?

10- Shadow Tamer ( dark warrior hottie ) 9- Terrorking ( good against BA ) 8- archfiend Soldier ( unexpected Dai ) 7- Gilfer ( loop and lv 6 synergy ) 6- Falling down ( same reason, and good movie 5- Commander ( extender ) 4- Red Dragon ( extra deck family ) 3- Empress ( same reason ) 2- Masterking 1- Heiress ( essential ) Honerable- Lesser Fiend Whoops Shadow Tamer is earth not dark, just flip her with lesser, she's just there to look pretty anyway

Lesser Fiend is very cool but I hate that it's level 5 and not level 6. It would have been an awesome Empress target otherwise! I sometimes forget Shadow Tamer is an Archfiend, that's really random. Whats the Falling Down film about?

@@TheArchfiendGuy The film is about a guy who just snaps in rush hour traffic and walks home in 80s LA and leaves a trail of destruction. I put shadow tamer on the list just cause you can search it with ROTA and Isolde. I'm not a huge fan of Lesser Fiend, despite how good he is. You can summon him with fusion deployment.

Back in my highschool days I would send Archfiend of Gilfer to the GY, equip it to an opponents monster, then activate Falling Down. My friends hated it because normally it meant they'd lose 2 monsters.

That's great! I used to do a similar thing but I'd equip Axe of Despair to their monster instead. They'd get confused as to why I'm buffing their monster, and then BAM, goes under my control

do a top 10 FAVORITE archfiends, my personal favorite is red demon's dragon scarright, it's probably the synchro monster I summoned the most when it used to be "meta", I used to play a very very very noob warrior synchro deck with simple cards like goblindberg and rose warrior of revenge lmao

Good idea! And yeah I like that one as well. I also used to summon it quite a bit way back in the day. It was just so powerful back then. It still is a bit underrated

I will build a chess archfiend deck - for nostalgia's sake (since they're my first archetype). For me (though, I have to check all chess archfiend cards again), my favorite is: > Darkbishop archfiend. Just imagine: if you manage to every.time to protect your archfiend cards from effects= they become almost Invincible, right? I will build this deck using also: dice try, sakuretsu armor and other cards that protect them. Good video 👍

Darkbishop has so much promise all packed into a very weak card Q_Q I still want to incorporate Darkbishop as part of a standard Archfiend endboard but it's proving more difficult than it needs to be!

Commander is great if you can make full use of him! Popping an Empress for a revive is pretty strong, and if you have Pandemonium then you can search out a second Commander, tribute summon it to revive the other one, then overlay into High Wave King Caesar!

Palabyrinth with Archfiend Emperor can be an amazing combo with help from either D.D.R or Escape from dark dimension....or a combination of both. I like two of each personally. Emperor able to play without a tribute gets any of your lv8 fiends on the board easily with Palabyrinth.

Yeah, Palabyrinth is a great card all things considered. It definitely helps put more powerful Archfiends on board. The issue I guess is that Commander is the only real in archetype way to put additional Archfiends on board. If we get more swarming capabilities then Palabyrinth will get much stronger!

Thought Ruler wins out on looks as well. Easily one of the cooler Archfiends but just a shame it's not a fiend Beast of Talwar is very cool, but just power crept

Looking for a specific card (pretty sure it's an archfiend) with 0 atk/def with a tribute summon effect that gives it the same or twice the attack of the tribute (can't remember which)? Sound familiar at all? My sister has all my yugioh cards and can't be bothered asking her to look through them all.

the biggest problem with them is that it's really slow an clunky to use even by gx standard but didn"t stop me I also added some of joe dice cards and others dice related cards (like "that's six" for example

@@ascrassin I just used Terrorking and Queen. With a bunch of extra summon cards. Was real fun and got me into Archfiends. Though I would rather run Lessor Fiend beat down

Have you ever tried building a Chess Archfiend deck with Checkmate? Since it's not searchable and beefing up Terrorking Archfiend to OTK levels is easier said than done, it's probably not worth the trouble.

Checkmate is one of those cards that looks awesome but isn't worth the setup. Terrorking himself can be worth playing at 1 though I suppose. He's not terrible, just his summoning restriction is annoying

I really like chess archfiend monsters. They are my first archetype in Yu-Gi-Oh! Unfortunately, I lose those cards. I will build a pure chest archfiend deck - for nostalgia's sake. I hope Konami release pure chess archfiend support cards.

Honestly it was madness not to include Commander imo, especially while incorrectly saying the only one able to special summon itself from the hand was Labrynth .-. speaking of which, I'd have cut it out in favor of the aforementioned for a simple reason: lack of a good target. I just checked very quickly every trap triggered by an attack in search of one having any side effect, but unfortunately there isn't any at the moment. I mean, generically speaking, otherwise there are a couple of PK traps that could be good in hybrid build.

Emperor is honestly just a 3k lvl 8 fiend that has archfiend on the name When it comes to his effect both curse necrofear and unchained buffy dude are better options

Emperor is cool but lately I've been using him less and less. He's nice for a quick pop or 3k attack in a pinch, but Imprisoned Queen provides much more utility because it becomes an Heiress search if you have Masterking out. I'd still run both though!
