Burberry is a bit like Kering in a turnaround. Same playbook : making the brand more luxurious and investing in the shops. Will take many quarters to see if it worked or not. Would not be surprised if bought by the very astute LVMH. Good pick, thanks.

Kering, Burberry and watches of Switzerland all in the same boat rn

Watches of Switzerland are in far more precarious position as a retailer relying on Rolex imo, who are now in bed officially with Bucherer. Price point of wosg is very interesting but I can't get my head around the impact of Bucherer?

Must be popping up in the value screens, ive been wrestling with this Burberry dilemma myself! Very out of my depth in the fashion stakes, but for a top10 to 15 luxury brand in most industry rankings this looks interesting. Also the key words that pops up in profiling luxury brands with Burberry is quality and craftsmanship, which to my amateur eye seems to have more staying power than merely what is the latest trend. These luxury brands also make me think of a spawner company, usually reserved for technology but i think the possibilities with accessories and licensing make it interesting.

I would humbly suggest to focus on developing a good mindset/attitude towards compounding and invest in s&p or nasdaq and that's it. That's more difficult and simpler at the same time but that's how true wealth is built. Buffett says the same by the way
@sebfox21944 ай бұрын
Buffet says that this what most people should do, but not what everyone should do. Buffet himself doesn't do this.
@pooh65464 ай бұрын
@@sebfox2194 he said 99% of people should do that. Do you consider yourself to be the 1% ?
@sebfox21944 ай бұрын
@pooh6546 When he said 99%, he was using that number as a figure of speech, to mean the vast majority, not as an accurately calculated percentage to be taken literally. Over a 20 year period, the number of professional investors who beat the market is actually closer to around 6% rather than 1%. Of course, it's good advice for most investors to just invest in low cost index funds. However, that doesn't mean that nobody can beat the market, or that nobody should even try.

Is it all about wealth? That is the score of the match to use a sporting analogy, but what about the beauty of the activity, enjoying it for its own sake?

The market already crashed 20%. That’s one of the worst years in history. I don’t know what you’re looking for if you can’t see that.

Trash stocks, invest in equal weight Nasdaq and S&P if you can't beat it.
@matthewhammond8594 ай бұрын
Equal weight is stupid. Equal weight is the same as not letting your winners run then buying your losers. Frankly your comment is embarrassing.

Wait a second. Anyone had a look at the ugly, cheap chinese made and expensive Burberry clothes???? Have to be a rich with a brain damage passing by the entrance of Burberry shop, all of those very very rare to happen. Better with the old clothes. Really the clothes in the page are very disgusting and the amount of money shows their losed the control of the prizes so what to expect about the company results... Even the rich damaged cannot feel exclusive with those clothes so it have no benefit for no one
