FULL-LENGTH WATCH-ALONG REACTION: www.patreon.com/posts/bo-burnham-full-54481242 A claustrophobic, self-reflecting masterpiece. Bo Burnham's back with 20 new songs and a hell of a sense of humor. Deep, dark, funny, mentally draining but fulfilling at the same time, Bo makes you dig deep and discover what you feel INSIDE. This is not just a comedy special filmed INSIDE during the lockdown, this is everything happening INSIDE your mind when closed off from the rest of the world. The only thing is that Bo Burnham used the inspiration and created an audio/visual journey. Make sure to go and watch the full special on Netflix: www.netflix.com/ba/title/81289483

I'm glad to find others that feel the same way. I really feel there are aspects to this special that will be studied and disassembled and analyzed by future generations. He really wrapped up the collective anxiety and dread the population is feeling during these modern times and put it in an easy to swallow piece of pop culture.

Well said my man. It just might be like that in the future

Bo Burnham manages to be self reflective and socially aware without coming across as pretentious. This really is an insight into how being a creative mind is often both a gift and a curse, and acknowledging all of it. (As well as it just obviously being incredible art) Loved the reaction!
@HofTheStage3 жыл бұрын
Well put man, both a gift and a curse. As Fyodor Dostoevsky would say in Crime and Punishment “Pain and suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart. The really great men must, I think, have great sadness on earth.” I find this to be true for very creative people as well

As somebody who has been clinically depressed for 12 years, this special was definitely comforting. Yes, definitely bittersweet, but EXTREMELY comforting.

"This song hits different now" ... yeah, the context just.. it broke me, the first time I watched this show. I've struggled with my mental health my entire life and sitting down to watch this show, when this song came on, I just sat on my couch and wept for a while. Had to pause the show, drink a beer, smoke a cigarette, and think of how far I've come. Not sure I've ever seen anything like it.

Same, minus the alcohol and cigs. Nothing has resonated with me as much as this special did. I've been crying all day thinking about this special

I laughed and cried and nodded through this entire special. It is truly the anthem of our generation.

His genius is in making the viewer feel unstable. Tears to laughter in seconds, to chills, to sadness, to feelings of connectedness, to feelings of isolation.

Not a lot of people notice the story told by the lighting on "Welcome To The Internet" - He is the villain (The Internet) as you stated. 7:47 Also, the stars in the background represent the vastness of the internet. Then he shows the blue/purple lights when talking about the kid using the ipad when only two 10:04 . 10:40 Then he combines the internet with the kid's lights to show that he has won and the kid is now just like all of us.... We are part of the internet world.

@@HofTheStage I caught a few things watching the show and I look for meaning in things, but I also read up on other people's thoughts as well. I've been watching a ton of Bo Burnham reactions. I'm with you btw .. I laughed like once, but most of the movie/special was just paying attention, because I saw the undertones right off the bat. I love how pretty much all of his songs are silly, but they drop the truth bomb and bring you down to reality somewhere in them.

@@TheDaringPastry1313 exactly! If you laugh too much, than you're either not getting it or not really focusing on what's he saying.

In welcome to the internet, the line “anything and everything, all of the time” towards the end, right after laugh, feels taunting to me. The little head movement, it’s like the Internet is saying “I’ve won”. And honestly it has.

The soul of a true comic and the musical talent and social artistry of John Larson. Bo is truly gifted. Inside was the most socially relevant piece of art of the last few years. He needs more acknowledgement.

That intro sums it up pretty well. The moment I got to All Eyes on Me the first time I watched it I literally said the same thing. "This is messing me up more than I thought it would". Specially because I watched it at 2 am while sleep deprived. Needless to say, I was definitely left with a funny feeling.

Absolutely loved it,and have him for awhile. You have to watch the outtakes from this movie on his yt channel,it's almost another special. Genius Its funny( not really funny lol but) how artists whether it's singing,acting,painting,etc, are amazing the more pain they've gone through....its like,you go through sh*t,pain,anguish and if you have a talent ,to let it out in a way that can make others in awe..... Don't get the wrong...love,positivity,happiness...you can wrote with that but you can't have happiness without pain and vice versa And also,sometime people just use auto-tune for the effect of it,even if they can sing... Btw good catch with it being about Inside himself as well as his house..I never looked at it that way....makes it 100x better
