Your description of Grimlock sharing the shelf with the other MP Transformers was PERFECT. I couldn't agree more XD my MP shelf currently: two F-15 Fighter Jets, a Cab-Over semi truck with full size trailer, an eighties Japanese sports car, a retro cassette tape player with anamorphic cassettes, and a raging robot dinosaur with a crown. I really gotta say, it all sounds like an outrageous story to me! LOL great review!

Exactly how I felt when I got my MP Grimlock a couple of months ago, after whining for years about always missing out and them being out of stock or not having any money left when they were. "This is it" describes the feeling precisely. My "collection" so far is like five toys, but with Grimlock literally crowning the shelf, that's all I need. My childhood is alive again, and somehow even better than I remember it. Wonderful figure. Wonderful review.

While I sometimes regret not picking up a clearanced Grimlock at my local TRU years ago (which I just remember being more than I wanted to pay, but that was before I really understood the whole MP line), I also realize I almost never unbox my MPs (which is probably weird, but... eh). It's an amazing design, though.

Sadly, my MP3 is so floppy it was the end of the Masterpiece line for me. It looks amazing but it can't stand and he can't hold his weapons - I was devastated (then I discovered 3rd Party for my MP needs)

Been tempted to get Studio series Grimlock even though I'm like, the one guy who actually likes PotP Grimlock. Because even I'll admit that the PotP Grim was lacking in some areas(besides weapons, which it did indeed lack, especiallyfor Volcanicus, and screw you Hasbro for cheaping out while the Takara crowd gets two giant swords and a bunch of other gap filling goodies...) and SS Grim is basically MP lite, and even comes with a little not-very-posable-non-transforming Wheelie figure.
