I was there and I thought the individual competition was done fairly well. They need to work on teams though. The workouts were meh. My coach was on a 55+ team and he barely worked out the first two days. We were joking that we needed to go drop-in somewhere to get a workout in. I was following a 45-49 male athlete (friend) so I saw both. Side note: vendor village was a disappointment. Would love to see more and varied vendors. Also would love to see a spectator workout area. They didn’t have enough barbells for the competitors. The snatch ladder for the teams kind of came down to how fast you could change out your plates which doesn’t seem like it should be a factor. They need more tiered seating, as a 5’ female I couldn’t see much on certain events which was disappointing. Last but not least, the food concessions were terrible. I ended up eating 1-2 meals a day because I refused to eat the poor quality, fried food on offer. Actually lost weight over 5 days.
