Hi Dr Naija, I have been a fan of your content and this one too and even i am a dentist too but I just wanted to put this point also that yeah it might not be a best course but I went through the list of job shortage and in the list every occupation is put up if You open the hyperlink of health care from list so and so many people are already studying public health it might scare them as well.. In my opinion scarcity of jobs is everywhere and in every field but it depends on how much you are ready to put your best self to get whatever you want. This is just a opinion.. I am a big fan and respect you as well for all the efforts that you put in.

Most of the students ended as a career. This is a great video- you are helping so many people with what you do on youtube :) One thing I wanted to mention is that the description I noticed that clinical psychology was listed as an option that gives a better tier 2 chance, but I’m confused by this. My understanding is that getting a clinical psychology training post (DClinPsy) in the UK is often more competitive than getting into medical school, including for home students! It’s really not uncommon for people aiming for the DClinPsy to take years (2+) after completing their psychology undergrad to gain enough experience to get onto the DClinPsy. I don’t see how being an international student would make it any easier- surely it would be worse? Unless I’m missing something...

I recently completed my MPH from India which is my home country...i always believed this unpopular opinion that as a student who is interested in public health (PH)should pursue it in their own country to better understand every healthsystem functioning, research , policy ,advocacy ,power ( social , political, and economical) related to health and entire healthcare system and the list goes on wid respect to the realm of PH. Well the rationale for this is yes we do study global health perspective but one should k , study case studies(foreg: disease incidence rate, mortality rate like MMR , IMR etc again list goes on here ) ,understand the grassroot level issues and be part of field studies.The current scenario and latest developments in law and healthcare policies just for an eg...in their own country first and india is like big country we got lime more than 28 states now so every health issues , interventions of PH both national and state level programs have diversity in terms of state level implementation as well( As a Indian MPH student its like 2 years falls short to understand the whole Indian health care system which is constantly changing everyday in terms of new program implementation in various pressing public health issues areas like maternal and child health , non communicable disease s which r on rise and ya lastly mental health which is like in its infant stage ). Ik its getting long but i get often been asked this question is it ok if i have an international MPH degree but ur from non- medical background so i want to return back to India and i go like ya u can but whats the point i dont get it yet as international MPH is not cost effective at all homies because tbh wid u all i still think and if u read bit of literature on the cure state of PH programs in india ...u can understand why i am trying to tell throughy this comment ... still as of 2024 ,majorly the domain of public health in LMICs consist of medical practitioners ( doctors ) and government officials who decide everything and political powers involve in the whole actor level to decide any health policy chnges regarding public health...well if ur reading this its not for demotivation.Its just a personal belief and perspective. ....I wont say there is no progress ..there r lot of developments especially in the PH research area so u should be well versed wid both hard skills and soft skills so that it can help u decide ur niche in PH...becoz its vast..so exoloring and networking are the golden rule as of now ro make ur area for getting entry level jobs.
