great vid, thanks for doing this one...as far as the younger generation's work that is shown here - I look at their photos, and they are also very conceptual, marvelous works, built upon natural talent, an incredible eye for composition, and each photo definitely has something to say, each, as with the earlier photos, commands that you stop at this particular point in time and space, and really look at what is in front of you. excellent work by each and every artist, older and younger

I am impressed. Really common motives, you can find these when you walk in the streets, but nowadays, in the era of everyone has a camera and "shoots" the photos will never have the feeling of extraordinarity.

there are subtitles announcing the artists well yousuf was one of the best portrait photographer so to say. i can't tell you much in a art-professor way what to look for in his work but i love how he excells in outlining the persons character, creating lively portraits yet preserving the persons dignity in a way i can't explain :P of course he also mastered the studiolight like few ever could. well thats how i see it at least

ranirani, I mean that, although it has never been technically easier to take a sharp picture, there is a fuzzy sentimental pictorialism in contemporary photography, and you can see it at end of this video

photography was supposed to be a witness of historical moments. you see in them life of old time. but the subject matter of photography has drastically widened to embrace nature photography, commercial photography, family photography, etc. in a digital era, you just can't fail to take good pictures. you don't have to be professional to take quality photos. editing becomes as important as shooting. potential of photography is widened up and different skills are called for.

Great music choice, few interesting B&W photos, but i really did like the "young generation" works, i myself an amateur photographer and i think that aesthetics isnt less important than concept, in fact i think that aesthetics is the "envelope" which wrap the concept.
@Mournerable15 жыл бұрын
I also want to add that photography is about expressing yourself in the most unusual and unique forms. I, personally think that it is wrong for someone to knock another down. because of it. Regardless of whether or not your photo brings appeal to others, art is still art. If your photograph holds plenty of significance to you, the only taste that should matter is none other than your own. Besides, how original would that be if we all "chose" one way of creating and/or shooting photography?

The finer things in life always seem to be the most difficult to grasp, don't they? Photography gives us the ability to flow past those restrictions life tends to toss heedlessly, which allows us to hold onto the precious moments we seem to encounter at the most unexpected of times - with a single click. Wondrous, isn't it?

Ah yeh thanks! isnt that why like early cameras weren't that good compared to the ones today? like when van gough took a picture of his sunflowers it wasn't really in focus and a bit blurry? still a brilliant pic don't get me wrong, worth a lot of money too to answer my first question!

Cool video of some classic photography, but the song makes me want to jump off the roof....
@ilayrock17 жыл бұрын
i dont think that way. i made the film in odrder to honor THE MASTERS of photography those who created the early art of photography in which most of the younger genoration grew up on and studied. those names became an icons in the photography world and most instructions teach of them. its who they were and what they did that's mattar and not only on how you can enjoy the work. its a shame you didnt see that from that point of view.

who are the photographers for the younger generation bit and are they considered actual masters or are they simply random pretty pictures you found on deviant art? thanks

actually it could be said that Da Vinci was part of the first group of painters to use a camera obscura, well the very early prototype which was basically nothing more than a concave mirror and a dark enclosure.

The trouble with photography is that `Not everyone gets it`. When i do a shoot say at a celebration or wedding, it`s the candid or the impromptu that works for me, Clients & guests expect formal or classical stuff, it`s what they pay for....The real ( not contrived) pictures are often disliked or ignored, passed by as inferior or just plain rubbish. If i shoot a hundred half will not be suitable for presentation, i try to shoot for myself as well as the client... Post more, Thanks...

in general, people don't see photography as "art" anymore, the cameras and all associated equipment is both affordable and easy to use for everyone and not everyone works hard to get high quality pictures. Perhaps this loss of thoughtfulness has altered the common level of photography most. Still, those who carry round their large format cameras still exist, it's just those others standing in the foreground on fc and other communities

Good slide show. You have serious copyright issues thow.The "All rights reserved" you patched at the end is quite out of place, considering you most probably didn't have permission to use the photographs in the manner that you did...
@vootie4417 жыл бұрын
I like the song. Interesting that the display of what the younger photographers have to offer is mostly pictures *of* the younger photographers. Either they have little interest in what goes on around them, and/or are very self absorbed (same thing really), or the compilation is an inaccurate representation of this generation. I'm hoping the latter is the case.
