Many years ago at an arms expo I watched a Russian pilot do things with a plane that absolutely blew my mind. In a mock dogfight against two other aircraft. Had it been real, he would've taken both down in under one minute without the use of missiles. I'm talking straight skills and the right plane. Till today I've not seen anyone do that except for the Russians. Keep us all proud!

Without the help of the west, who pumped hundreds of billions in military aid into Ukraine, the war would have been over and done with after a few months. The reason why Russia postponed the deployment of their air power is simply due to the fact that Ukraine had an extensive (Russian) layered air defense system. They have now depleted Ukraine's stocks of air defense missiles and can now operate their air force wherever they want. Being smart is not the same as being weak.

We just need to admit that the Su-27 platform and everything built on it up to the 35S is incredibly beautiful. Even the Su-57 doesn't look that sexy. Of course, in combat conditions this is not so important, and priorities have changed. I am sure that there are newer and more advanced aircrafts when considering combat characteristics. However, nothing flies more beautiful than the Su-(27-35S) i think;
