for me motu origins is the best main action figure line ever made. there´s so much playability and customization you can do with them and at the same time they stay so true to the originals and continue expanding on the whole motu universe and bring all the different motu lines together into one. and as always you do a great job with your reviews.

@AlphaTrion92 Well said! The Origins line is really well liked with us collectors who grew up with the vintage figures. Some things are hit or miss because they eliminated or changed an action feature like Thunder Punch He-mans back pack with no caps or Kobra khan water squirt feature. But I think I prefer the ball peg system for mixing parts now over vintage action features I once liked as a kid.

Another great review that I enjoyed watching from beginning to end. You pretty much covered all possible mixing and matching options with this figure, so that was very nice to watch too. I think this is one of the best Deluxe figures so far because it comes with a lot of pieces to mix and match.

@Jason King I know tung lashor is coming in wave 12. Squeeze and snake face were also teased and announced later this year with Mossman and Spikor. I have a feeling we see those classics style snakemen. But probably the Horde trooper snakemen first because they already have the Black Horde trooper. From the power con Horde four pack and the head will most likely beca Rattlor head painted differently. That's my guess.

thanks for the review. I'm thinking in mix matching some snake armor heman parts on him to make him look a bit more menacing. I had him as a kid but it took me like 15 seconds to lose the human pieces so the look being accurate is not really that important to my nostalgia

Thanks for watching the review. Yeah, you can mix and match all kinds of parts and combinations between this Origins King Hiss and other Origins Snakemen or regular figures just because of the new design and how the parts can change out. I demonstrated a few combinations that I could think of in the review but did not spend too much time on that. The snake armor He-man would also be fun to mix parts with King Hiss as well as a Horde trooper to make a snake trooper with the head and arms. So many fun possibilities👍

I really like how Mattel handled King Hiss. Hadn’t even realized until I saw another review that the armor was like a “jacket” that covered the main snake body (like the vintage figure). I initially thought everything was interchangeable like the way they did with Classics. I’ve seen complaints in some of the Facebook groups that Mattel “ruined King Hiss,” which I don’t think are warranted at all (maybe because everything doesn’t just snap on and off quickly like they used to?) I’m not sure how else they really could have incorporated removing all the parts to reveal the snakes underneath without it feeling a bit clunky and looking a bit underwhelming like the vintage figure did. This is a great compromise, using that “bodysuit” while keeping the interchangeability of Origins. He looks more menacing now too because once the skin has been “shed,” the snakes underneath have now grown bigger!

After getting this, Origins King Hiss in hand and reviewing him. I think Mattel did a perfect job on how the parts change out. I only wish the Snake heads on the arms change out and the mouths were opened, or you got another opened interchangeable head. But that Snake armor is perfect. The vintage just snapped off front and back to expose the body. It was fun for the time. But the Origins design is better for everything can change out👍

Still watching the video! :) Do you have the Classics King Hsss? I was curious if the Classics snakes top piece fits into the Origins torso piece. Looking at the art on the back of the packaging, they should have made the snake piece that way for Origins, maybe they will since it's shown somewhere. 🙂

Thanks for stopping in to check the review out! Yes, I have all the classics figures. But I am a mint on card collector with all the stuff. So im not sure if those snake ends will fit the origins waists. I also wonder if people had open classics figures. Would they even want to sacrifice those spare parts for Origins. I'm guessing you can find a way to adapt those classics. King Hiss ends to the Origins King Hiss waist if you really wanted to. I'm gonna try to pick up a loose Classics King Hiss serpent figure on Ebay and adapt it to the Origins King Hiss body. I will make an update video on that.

@@Themanchlid I have watched reviews of people who I know have the Classics line, and now Origins, but they don't think of trying to mix Classics and Origins, just once to see if it will work or not. I have plenty of the Serpent King Hsss figure for Classics, just need to get the Origins King Hsss, if it's ever available again. ha ha Great, I look forward to the updated video. This figure is really hard to track now! I'm not sure if or when retailers will carry him. I also hear rumors that many places like Walmart and Targets will not be stocking Masterverse or Origins after April. But I guess I will see! I paid over 40 dollars for mine. I pre-ordered mine on BBTS and actually got one once they shipped. However, they sold out and still haven't got more yet that I know of! Hopefully, more of these figures will come around soon. I would like another in card👍

They really brought this figure up a notch from the vintage one. The vintage figure never had the fang blade. So, I guess Mattel is just following that concept.

The coil can be tricky to look good. If you can get the head down enough and at certain angles, then it looks good. But other angles, it looks strange! It's still a great looking Origins King Hiss figure! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍

@@Themanchlid Definitely. Hiss was one of my favorites as a kid. I love the beefier make of this one and the interchangeable parts instead of the pop off armor. That neck coil just bugs me. It reminds me of a scarf that's somehow suck mid-neck. Really anxious to see Snake Face's update if/when it happens.

@Gorkous I remember getting King Hiss as a kid to in the day! He felt so creepy and unique in the day. I'm glad they took this King Hiss up a notch! He looks much better! I don't mind the coil around the neck, but I could have done without it. I also wish the snake arms had open months. But aside from that, it's awesome to have an origins king hiss figures! Snakeface will be interesting. I have a feeling he will not have the snake eyes action features. Probably a second head or plug-in snakes like the Classics one.

I had just about the whole collection! I never had Eternia, blade, or a vintage horde trooper, but everything else! @jason Ramirez Your story and vintage toy interests sound a lot like me and many of us on these toy channels. I grew up with most of those lines but only really collected the vintage MOTU stuff. My friends had all those other figures you mentioned, so im very familiar with them. Yes, I remember the days of going through Toys r us and Kb in my 20s and 30s. Then, in my mid-30s, they all disappeared! Now, all my stuff comes from online. It's much easier, and you can find anything. But I do miss the toy hunting!
