I’m 24 years old, I grew up always knowing the greatness of Tiger, I didn’t get into golf until my pre teens/early teens, so I never got to see Tiger’s greatness live like this. I still remember this day. It was celebrated by everyone that loves the game of golf, the greatest to ever do it after so many surgeries, controversies, and adversity faced went out and bested the field on Sunday like he always did.

I’m 38, I watched golf my entire life started playing early. When Tiger won in 97 it changed everything. That next 8-10 years if you were old enough to care you were watching if he was in the field. I don’t remember any team/player in any other sport you could say that about. We have some great players in Golf today and I still enjoy watching it all. If Scotty keeps it up people that missed Tiger may get to see what we saw… if not I wish people could have lived through that that truly love the sport.

Gretsky...Bird...Magic...Marino and so on. You're right what a great era in sports
I was in my freshman year of college when Tiger won his 5th green jacket in 2019. I will never forget how almost every other dorm room in our building had their door open cheering for Tiger down the stretch on that Sunday. No more than a couple people on our floor played golf, let alone watched it. But that is the impact Tiger woods has on not only golf, but the sports world as a whole. It was incredible, seeing guys who did not care about golf in the slightest shed tears as Tiger hugged Charlie. Greatest sporting moment of my life

Haven't seen many people mention it, but Tiger does the same double fist clench a few times walking off the 18th green - pretty much exactly mimicking Jack's reaction on the 15th in '86 after hitting it close in two to set up eagle. Tiger himself has said that one of his earliest and favorite memories watching golf when he was young was that specific reaction by Nicklaus, which Tiger says was something he had never seen before - celebrating an iron shot. It's hard not to think that Tiger is paying homage here to Jack, and is pretty much saying (I think intentionally) that it's his version of Jack's sixth green jacket moment.

We woke up a little late, and couldn’t rewind the recording until it was all over, so we decided to turn our phones off and get brunch and watch it after. Anyways, we ended up getting tanked on bottomless mimosas, and while we were walking back, my girlfriend wanted to stop and pet someone’s dog. We mentioned to the guy that we were going home to watch the masters, and he immediately goes, “oh it’s over, tiger woods won.” Wanted to slap him. Ruined it.

Yes, I absolutely believe Tdub, gets one more major, 95% it’s Augusta, small percent chance itll be an Open Championship if it swings back to St. Andrew’s just cause he could feel his way w/ several different shots at the Old Course. I mean Phil got a t2 well into his 50s. Phil is def one of the greats, but we all know the history between them 2, if Phil can do something, Tw can do the same thing 10x.
