Puneet Kohli once aspired to a #career in hotel management, but destiny had other plans when he took over his family’s Chole Bhature business.
Sita Ram Diwan Chand’s Chole Bhature has a history dating back to 1950 when Sita Ram and Diwan Chand began their venture together on a bicycle.
Fast forward to 2023, they now sell approximately 7000 plates per day. Puneet's recipe for entrepreneurial success, as he puts it, "SSG - Start karo, Simple karo aur Ghatiya karo"

one gem I took away from this story, which I felt wasn't given much attention to was how this guy got his employees to take charge of their own responsibility in a non invasive way by introducing scoring of checklists asking them only how he could monitor their work to reward them and slowly getting them used to it. I've seen places that end up installing cameras, start screaming why employees are just standing par inhone toh kaam bhi karvalia aur ye sab bhi nai kia. Ese chiz kar pao na toh business ke dusre fundas toh aap waise hi karte karte sikh jaoege kyuki it isn't rocket science for those who've got this level of understanding.

Sir, just remember one thing ,you can't force every family to eat only chole bhature. You can't close all the other shops. What is the size or you can say the volume of this biz in your area and what is your market share. Plan according to that way. Think about diversify. Don't depend on only one product.
